Welcome to the Nouvelle Chalet, brought to you by Mountain Vacation Lodging. This beautifully renovated home exemplifies all aspects of what a Vail vacation should be: Stylish & classy, updated and luxurious, cozy & warm, with a picturesque setting in the mountains, on the banks of a pristine alpine stream. Please read on for more details!

The Property:
This single-family home is half of a duplex and has 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, an open main living area, as well as a secondary living area / loft. The home is very comfortable for groups of 6 to 8. Bedroom 1 offers a King bed, ideal for couples. Bedroom 2 has 2 Twin beds, while Bedroom 3 has 4 Twin beds and the Loft has 2 Twin beds. Please note - having all of these beds is designed to provide an accommodating sleeping arrangement for different group needs, to allow groups to spread out a bit, but the maximum occupancy for the home is firmly set at 8, and this limit is enforced. Maintaining a smaller maximum occupancy helps reduce wear and tear, helps to maintain quality over time, and our hope is that you and your group will appreciate this approach.

This home was recently renovated from the studs out, with thought and care, and it shows. The Nouvelle Chalet features a contemporary mountain style throughout. You'll enjoy upscale finishes & furnishings as well as an assortment of amenities that enhance your experience. The yard offers opportunities for some fun in the snow, and in spring, summer, and fall, your living space expands to include many types of recreation. You can relax by Gore Creek or get a fishing license and try your luck - this is a Gold Medal stretch of water which offers the opportunity for a Grand Slam (catching 4 different types of trout).

The Location:
The Nouvelle Chalet is located on the banks of Gore Creek, in “West Vail.” You'll have a short, flat walk of about 300 meters to the Matterhorn bus stop, and there's another stop at Donovan Park, just 150 meters farther. This gives you easy access to multiple bus routes and thus, the flexibility to have a shorter, more direct route to and from the slopes, or wherever else you might be heading. (The Cascade chairlift is just one stop away from Donovan Park). Also, right next to those two bus stops, you can access the Gore Valley trail, a paved path that follows the stream from the base of the Gore Creek hiking trail, through East Vail and the golf course, then Vail Village, Lionshead, West Vail, and Eagle Vail. Along the trail you'll find playgrounds, parks, botanic gardens, the amphitheater, and of course, shops, restaurants, ski lifts, and much more. Just west of Vail, it connects to the Eagle Valley Trail, which goes all the way to Glenwood Canyon! So, for those looking for a great place to walk, stroll, hike, jog, bike or e-bike, you'll have immediate access to all of these options. West Vail is also where you'll find both supermarkets, lots of shops & restaurants. At this home, you'll have convenient access to everything, the peaceful sounds of the creek, and an exquisite home to boot.

Arrival, Accessibility, and Parking:
– Once you book, we're here to support you - before, during, and after your stay. We will provide you with arrival instructions, local information, and answer any questions you might have.
– Accessing this property is easy. There are only two steps up from the parking area to the porch and front door. Once inside, you'll be on the main (middle) level. One flight of stairs leads up to the loft, and one flight of stairs takes you down to the bedrooms. Bathroom 3 is on the main level, and the other two bathrooms are downstairs, with the bedrooms. Very convenient!
– Parking: There is parking for up to 2 vehicles, or a vehicle with a trailer, but only if that trailer is no larger than the size of a normal vehicle. Please reach out prior to booking if you will have a trailer, so we can confirm whether it will fit in the driveway. If you will need parking for additional vehicles, please contact us for more information.
– 4WD vehicle information: The roads in Vail, which lead to and from this property, are generally easy to navigate and well maintained. However, please note that your route to the area may include a mountain pass. When traveling during snow and winter weather conditions, 4 Wheel Drive or All Wheel Drive and tires with good tread are recommended.

** Air Conditioning - Most mountain resort properties were not built with air conditioning. During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed. Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property, and look for ceiling fans in photos.
** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.
** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property. If you plan to bring more people than you've indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property. For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary. Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property's owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit. Please let us know if you have any concerns.
** Lengthy Rental Periods, Cancellation Policies, & Cleaning Fees - Long Term Rentals (28 nights or more) may be unacceptable under the standard cancellation policies listed online, which are designed to be only for short term rentals. Long Term Rentals must be discussed and approved prior to booking online. A long term rental / lease agreement may be required. A Security Deposit will be required for all long term rentals, and mid-stay cleaning(s) / inspection(s) may be required. The standard cleaning fee quoted as part of any booking is for the final cleaning, which is to be performed after the rental period has ended. For guests who are booking a lengthy stay of more than one week, a mid stay-cleaning fee equal to the final cleaning fee may apply for the second week, third week, and so on.
