La propriĂ©tĂ© a une vue incroyable depuis le pont avec accĂšs Ă  la plage (vous pouvez choisir des huĂźtres). Il y a aussi une grande zone isolĂ©e pour le camping et un foyer (en saison). Il y a un nouveau lit double dans la chambre et un futon pour 2 personnes dans le salon. J'ai Ă©galement un nouveau matelas gonflable pour un invitĂ© supplĂ©mentaire et beaucoup de literie. Mon endroit est proche de À distance de marche du Robin Hood Restaurant & Pub, du restaurant Alderbrook et du sentier de randonnĂ©e, du Deli, de la boutique Cameo et d'un dĂ©panneur de station-service. Un court trajet de 2 miles vous emmĂšne au terrain de golf ou Ă  Union avec Boat Launch and Marina, Union City Market (art et spĂ©cialitĂ©s alimentaires), Union Country Store (spĂ©cialitĂ©s alimentaires) et Dos Margaritas Restaurant and bar.

The host Gene is really exceptional. When you first drive up the address is nearly impossible to see it’s covered by over grown bushes and vines. When you do finally get down into the driveway there is VERY little room to park. When we opened the door to the cabin a seriously foul smell hit us in the face like a ton of bricks. So we figured maybe it needed aired out. We opened the sliding glass door and all the room windows and allowed it to air out for 2 hours while we went to dinner. We also went and bought two different types of air fresheners, wall plugs and spray. Nothing helped. The only way I could describe the smell was like urine but it was so overwhelming we ended up leaving at 9pm on the first night and booking a room in port orchard because that was the closest thing available. It was such a disappointment. Gene was very good at communicating but offered nothing for our troubles of having to leave due to a horrible smell. It was very shocking. Also we never did see the area they describe as a campground with a fire pit. And couldn’t find the stairs leading down towards the beach. Definitely will not be back here and would not recommend if smells are offensive to you.

Very Comfortable with a well appointed Kitchen. Excellent view of Hood Canal and occasional glimpses of mountains through the fog and clouds. Would recommend visiting the Union Visitor Center for good information about the sites and activities in the area. We enjoyed a few hikes to waterfalls and dinner of Oysters and Dungenese crabs. Preparing meals was easy in the spacious and well appointed kitchen. Perhaps the only drawback was the motorcycles on the road below the cabin and canal. I would recommend this place as a nice romantic getaway for a couple.

We had booked Genes cabin for a birthday weekend. The cabin has an awesome view is well stocked with dishes and is very clean. Really enjoyed meeting Gene owner and enjoyed our stay there very much. Even though there was a mix-up with our booking, and the cabin was overbooked. Jean went out of his way to upgrade us to a friend's cabin right on the water. I highly recommend this rental! And Gene the owner is an awesome guy!

A quick but lovely stay

We were only able to stay one night. The cabin is right across the road from the lake. It has a fantastic view to wake up to and have a cup of coffee on the balcony. The cabin was tidy. The bathroom is on the other side of the cabin from the bedroom, but it's a small cabin, so not a big deal unless you have a couple of night runs. The bed was adiquit, a little on the soft side. The owner, Gene was very nice and gave us a few suggestions for hiking. We drove to the Staircase Trail in Olympic Nat'l Park. It was a beautiful rainforest hike. Not much of an elevation change so easy for most. The road getting back there is a bit bumpy, so drive slowly once you hit the gravel road. We ate dinner and breakfast at the Resort , just up the road. Food, drinks, service and view were all great! There's a trail in the resort that is every bite as nice as the first trail. A little more elevation change, but nothing too extreme. I would go back to the cabin. It's quint and in a good location if you want to explore that section of Olympic NP. The lake would also be fun to spend some time. There were paddle boarders and kyakers in it.
