Komunela – Umag
The neighborhood is quiet and sunny, consisting of private houses enhanced by well-maintained gardens rich in flowers and plants, as well as a few apartment buildings. The area features a large park with playgrounds for children and teenagers, free outdoor fitness equipment, and a beautiful lawn. Nearby you will find the convenient Ultra supermarket with an adjoining café, other shops, a bank, a pharmacy, two wine shops, the Paganini Casino, and affordable restaurants. This district is an excellent choice for those who appreciate peace and convenience thanks to its proximity to the town center and waterfront, while a car or bicycle is recommended for reaching the beaches.
The center of Umag can easily be reached on foot within a few minutes.
In the center of Umag, we recommend visiting the museum, aquarium, and cathedral, taking a walk along the famous Umag seawall, exploring the narrow and charming streets of Umag's old town, the new square enhanced by a fountain, shopping in the town center, or visiting the waterfront stalls and playground for the enjoyment of children.
For larger grocery shopping, we recommend driving a few kilometers to the larger and more affordable supermarkets such as Lidl, Spar, Kaufland, or Plodine in Umag.
There are many leisure opportunities in the Umag area: tennis courts, the 18-hole Golf Club Adriatic, equestrian centers, sports centers for water sports enthusiasts where you can enjoy water skiing, diving, and boat rentals, the Jangalooz adventure park and mini-golf course near the Sol Stella Maris tourist resort, nightclubs, casinos, and various boat or bus excursions.
