We love the cosy feel of this romantic property with its bright and bold décor and elegant furnishing, conveniently located with easy access to the fantastic Lake District.. All on the Ground Floor:

There is no place like Methera Cottage in the Lake District where you can escape from the world and relax. This modern, semi-detached cottage is comfortable throughout, and is the perfect rural retreat. Ideal for couples seeking a quiet break away in the Lake District without the crowds, yet close enough to enjoy all the attractions the South Lakes has to offer. This cottageâs open plan living space and modern styling give it a contemporary feel. Itâs compact, but itâs functional, with designated areas for dining, cooking, and relaxing. Dinner is served in this light, airy room, while enjoying your favourite tipple. A large window lets the outdoors in, and high ceilings add a sense of space. The kitchen has a brand-new (2022) shaker style kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal. Outside, Methera has its own flagged veranda with outdoor seating. Stone outbuildings are provided for guestsâ use and are ideal for storing bikes/mountain gear or kennels for pets. The cottage also has a private parking space.
The lovely market town of Ulverston is within a 10-minute drive, its cobbled streets are lined with a great selection independent shops, pubs cafĂ©s and restaurants. The home town of the Stan Laurel, half of the famous comedy duo Laurel and Hardy celebrates his birth with The Laurel and Hardy Museum and âAnother fine festâ, one of the many festivals and events available in the town throughout the year. The beautiful South Lakes area offers a wide selection of breath-taking walks and cycle routes or for the less energetic amongst you there is something for everyone from Michelin starred restaurants, to steam trains, lake cruises, wildlife parks, stately homes, horse racing or even escape rooms. You are spoilt for choice and thereâs something for everyone.
