Enjoy a peaceful getaway with the people you love at this delightful cottage sitting in a remote complex of properties at the end of a small road at the foot of the Trotternish Ridge. Sleeping six people over three bedrooms, itâs ideal for families or groups of friends looking for a traditional cottage to call home while they explore the breathtaking Isle of Skye together. In the morning, set off from Glenhinnisdal to hike along the well-graded forest tracks while you enjoy the panoramic mountain views. Visit the Fairy Glen (7.5 miles) â a unique landscape characterised by conical hills, miniature lochans, and an enchanting spiral of standing stones. In the evening, come home to the cottageâs large enclosed garden to dine alfresco while you soak up the stunning mountain views.
From the private parking area (thereâs room for three cars), take a moment to soak up the untamed beauty of your cottageâs spectacular location. Step inside and youâll be welcomed by an inviting hallway. To your right youâll find the master bedroom, a king-size thatâs bathed in natural light and has its own en-suite shower room. Further down the hallway, youâll discover two other charming bedrooms â a king-size and a twin â that offer breathtaking mountain views. When itâs time to eat, head to the farmhouse-style kitchen area to cook a storm. Gather everyone around the traditional dining table for a sociable dinner, before you head back to the living area to relax by the wood burner with a glass of wine. Alternatively, make a beeline to the spacious games room/lounge on the first floor for a pool or table football tournament, comfortable lounge area with TV and you will also find a separate WC. Completing the layout, youâll find a lovely family bathroom with a shower over the bath on the ground floor.
Outside, youâll find a large enclosed garden. Thereâs plenty of garden furniture on the terrace, which makes it the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion with an al fresco feast.
