Welcome to Country's Retreat (formerly 1201 Lovell Avenue), a beautifully renovated 1935 beach home located on Old Tybee Island, Georgia. This charming and spacious retreat features 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests. It offers the perfect blend of historic character and modern luxury, just a short walk from the sandy shores and vibrant island life.

Step outside onto the open decks with comfortable seating or gather in the spacious backyard, featuring a brick patio complete with a grill and outdoor dining table—ideal for alfresco meals and evening cookouts. The home also offers enclosed wrap-around porches on the second floor, creating multiple inviting spaces to relax and enjoy the home's historic charm.

Inside, you’ll find fully equipped kitchens and inviting living areas on both the ground and main floors, providing flexibility and space for everyone. The second level includes three bedrooms, featuring a primary suite with a king bed, flat-screen TV, and private bathroom access. Two additional guest bedrooms offer a queen bed with dual bathroom access and a king bed with a flat-screen TV. This level also includes a great room and dining area, all anchored by original hardwood floors that add warm character.

The first level offers two more guest bedrooms with queen beds and a full bathroom, along with a second kitchen, great room, and a generous bonus space with a game room, laundry, storage, and outdoor beach showers—perfect for rinsing off after a day on the sand. Four single beds throughout the home provide additional sleeping options.

Great location and home

Overall the house was nice! The downstairs was a little musty smelling and all of our older kids were stuffy and congested after staying down there. We found out the air conditioner downstairs was leaking and had to call the rental company and let them know.

2024 Beach Vaca with family

Great house! Just as described with plenty of room for everyone. Clean, comfortable and relaxing. Small tech issue was handled by April very quickly. Game room was awesome and a fun spot on rainy days. We will stay here again!

Great time!!

It was a wonderful time. We had 10 adults and one teenager. Enough room for all! We enjoyed cornhole, ping pong and the tiki toss. Not to mention the close walk to beach. We even had the crew walk to the beach bum festival! We had a blast

Celebrating 30th birthday with friends

We had an AMAZING stay here at Tybee island! We had 11 adults with us and the house comfortably slept every single one of them! Perfect location, close to grocery stores, bars, restaurants, shopping, etc. I would definitely recommend larger groups to stay here!! Check-in and check-out process was super easy! This house is definitely a little gem!

The only disappointing thing about the entire stay here was that the AC upstairs was not working at all. My friends could barely sleep at night or lounge in the living room. AC people showed up an hour or less after we checked in. Kind of caught a lot of us off guard. We didn’t realize there was a problem then. It seemed to not work at all after they left. They said they would be back cause they were missing a part to fix. They never showed back up to my knowledge. The host was really quick with responding! Hope they get the AC fixed before the next guests.

Absolutely Gorgeous

We stay in Tybee every summer and this was the most beautiful and the cleanest house we have rented! The game room was perfect for the teenagers. The beach was less than a 10 minute walk and the shops were a close walk as well. We can tell that this house is loved by the owners and well taken care of! Beautiful details throughout. We would rent here again!
