Good Value

We enjoyed our stay, but we did encounter a few issues. The ceiling fan in the living area would not work, and the Kitchen needed some attention. The frying pan was scary, no spatula, and there wasn't any hot water in the kitchen sink.

Great little place.

Enjoyed our stay. Less then 2 minute walk to the beach, and had access do the DeSoto pool. our first time at Tybee Island and certainly will be coming back.

Disappointed

The floors were extremly dirty. Walking from the couch to the bathroom, and the bottoms of your feet/socks were black. And this was right after getting to the room. Some places looked as though they hadn't been dusted in a while. Walls were extremly thin, so you could hear everything outside. Both the bed and sleeper sofa were very uncomfortable. Not worth the nearly the amount we paid for one night.

Excellent location, steps away from the beach

Perfect place to stay overnight for a quick trip to the island. The rooms exceeded our expectations for location, comfort, and cleanliness. Staff (through DeSoto) were all kind and helpful. Nearby food finds were outstanding: West to Sea Wolf for dinner, Mi Vida downtown for breakfast. Will return!

Clean, comfortable stay with friendly, hospitable staff. Though not ocean view, it was just a short stroll out to the beach. Great place to stay for a few days at Tybee. I will be back.

Perfect family get away!

We enjoyed ourselves so much! The golf cart, Savannah tour, and food were the BEST! The town is so laid back. We relaxed and had an amazing time!

Great place to stay!

It was great. It was only maybe a 100 yard walk to the beach. The bed was comfortable and everything worked as it should. The only issue was that the previous renters had apparently placed some dirty dishes back in tje cupboard. Not the property managers fault in my opinion. We will be staying again in the future and I highly recommend it to any smal family or group of 4 or less.

Mixed review

The location is excellent, and the people in the hotel were nice. The bed was very comfortable, and the towels exceptionally soft for a rental. On the other hand, the microwave was filthy, the couch was extremely uncomfortable, and the entire place did not smell clean. There was no ocean view or access, but I'll take responsibility for not carefully reading the description. Overall, we were overcharged.

Better than expected

Property and stay better than expected. Staff was friendly and helpful. Condo was comfortable and quiet. Convienant location to everything especially the beach. Enjoyed so much extended our stay another night.. We will definitely book again as we visit 1-2 times per year.

Desotto Hotel

The small hotel and bed and breakfast is quaint and charming. Access to the beach was great and having chairs setup on the beach was great!! The orginal hotel was an Art Decco style building and the story behind hotel was neat. Overall good weekend!

Disappointed

After a long day of travel, I encountered rude and painfully slow front desk staff. Who asked me to wait to finish my check in why she went to restroom! I asked to have my bedding changed with housekeeping. It wasn’t changed..for a high end Vrbo they are lacking in minimal amenities.The unit was filthy, a moldy chips on the floor, dirty fridge the list goes on and on Spend your money elsewhere.

Enjoyed the condo. Just what we needed. Didn’t realize the patio in the photos wasn’t the patio for the condo. That was a little disappointing. Loved the proximity to the beach. Very nice Desoto employees. Overall, good stay!

Enjoyable place for a couple looking to relax and lay low.

Staff was very friendly. Unit was clean, simple, and only a few steps to the beach. Away from the hustle and bustle of the busy part of Tybee where the pier is but only a 3 min drive if u wanted to join that crowd. There is a few restaurants, ice cream place, liquor store etc that is walkable from this place. It is def located on the quieter end of Butler Street. Made for a great long weekend getaway and some R&R.

Best location on Tybee

Very nice one bedroom apartment within a short stroll to the beach. All furnishings were stylish and comfortable. Continental breakfast included in adjacent hotel. Next time, we might try the adjoining B&B. Don’t hesitate to stay in this South Garden Apartment. You will enjoy your stay. Grandma, daughter and Grandson.

The property is accurately described. This is a small unit but sleeps four comfortably. The property is well cared for and clean. The upgraded amenities are very nice. The only photo that is not accurate is the patio. The garden patio pictured is the patio for a unit on the other side. The Desoto Hotel was fantastic. The staff is efficient and professional. We rented chairs and umbrellas for the beach each day and ate breakfast in the hotel. We were delighted with the service we received. The location on the beach is perfect. Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay.

Perfect classy beach getaway!

Wonderful stay at this lovely private garden level apartment! Literally steps from the beach. Designated secure parking. Perfect for a couple! The decor was very relaxing, very clean, the staff second to none. Believe it or not, one of the staff members actually went to Savannah to buy a guitar for my boyfriend to serenade me on the beach! We will be back!
