Don't judge this place by the looks on the outside! Unlock the door to your room (we had room# 3) and step into a comfortable, clean, spacious room with plenty of charm and comfy beds.
The bath house is incredibly clean and quiet and oh so rejuvenating! If you are in the area, you should definitely check this place out!!
Did not have my reservation, staff got the ok to give me a room that was on hold. Below freezing temperatures outside, 2 electric heaters plugged in to keep it about 60. Longer i was there i realized EVERYTHING was on extension cords. No smoke detector, no CO2 detector, nosprinkler system. Accepted the loss of money and left in morning
The hotel itself was cute and the staff was very nice but we had a few issues from the go. We arrived late (8:30 pm) and got into our room but it was clear it hadnât been thoroughly cleaned. There was an obvious dog pee stain on the furniture and it hadnât been vacuumed in a long time. Then when we tried to shower we realized we didnât have any towels. There was no one around to ask so we made due with the towel we had with us. In the bathroom there were stains all over the floor that I was able to sort of mop off with a hand towel. It felt like a dirty college apartment. We also didnât have any hand soap though there was body wash in the shower provided. Overall the stay was cheap and convenient. I told the front desk upon checkout about the issues with the room and the lady was very nice and apologetic and said she would report it to the owners who would be in touch. They were never in touch.
Room was nice even though hotel is dated. Hotel has private mineral baths that are free. You can also pay extra for upgraded mineral baths and open air mineral bath on roof. We paid extra for mineral bath on roof and enjoyed looking at the stars. Hotel clerk was extremely helpful.
Buildings are refurbished 1930s lodging. Missed having a microwave. We had brought along my air fryer to make a meal but it tripped breaker for the apartment so had to do alternative cooking. Overall experience was wonderful⊠would certainly go back.
Great place in ToC! Expect no frills and the rooms are definitely a little âjanky. â However, that is very much the theme of this little southwestern town. Great staff, canât remember the gals name who helped me with the baths and explained everything to me, it was my first time, but she was an esentric black lady. Excellent staff, wonderful baths, and awesome location. A must if staying in ToC!
Oh! And donât forget to book the roof top!!!!
We liked the cleanliness of the room, however there were several stickers in the linens. The door needs to be replaced. It was old and rotting, in addition to having a big enough gap for snakes amd insects. We found a black and red jumping spider in the bed.
