Plus, the home offers family-friendly amenities, including a Pack 'n Play, a high chair, children's plastic dinnerware, a baby gate, toys, and games. Central heating keeps the home warm and cozy in colder weather. The full kitchen is equipped to cook up your favorite family recipes to share at the dining table, or use the coffee maker to make a hot mug of coffee or hot cocoa.

Tahoe Donner Amenity Access – Important Information for Guests

Beginning January 1, 2026, Short-Term Tenant Card access to private amenities will be unavailable on designated blackout dates to prioritize homeowner access during peak times.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We were disappointed with our stay at this property. Several advertised amenities were not as promised, and the cleanliness was substandard—it was evident that portions of the home had not been properly cleaned before our arrival.We had high hopes for our New Year's celebration with family, but the experience fell short due to these issues and poor communication from the property management. When we reached out regarding the discrepancies between what was advertised and what was provided, we received little to no response.We have requested a partial refund from Vacasa to account for the missing amenities and cleaning issues, but as of this review, we have not received a response or resolution.I would recommend future guests confirm all amenities directly before booking and be prepared for potential communication challenges with the management company.

This rental is a duplex in Tahoe Donner and includes short term passes to Tahoe Donner recreation facilities (fees not included). The unit is directly across the street from the pool and hot tub at the Trout Creek Recreation Center. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out and enough outdoor area for the kids to play in the snow. The kitchen is well stocked. I would recommend this rental. However, after 10 years of renting 4 or 5 VRBOs a year, we have only had a few issues and all of them have been with properties managed by Vacasa, like this one. This unit was clean but not totally (food on kitchen floor under edges, dirty microwave, etc). The downstairs toilet is detached and rocks side to side. While we were warned that a 4x4 or chains were required to get up the short steep driveway in adverse weather, we were still unable to get up the driveway with chains on in 17 inches of snow. If this happens to you, don't bother calling Vacasa. They are not helpful and told us they only clear the driveway before your stay and won't come back. This is not true. Plows cleared out all neighborhood driveways the next morning. They also told us to shovel, you better be an altitude trained athlete to shovel that much snow. I almost blacked out trying. If you cant get up the driveway, park at the Rec Center but you have to go into the office and apply for overnight emergency parking or you will be towed. A good, well located rental, be prepared with chains for the driveway.

Perfect stay

A few of us wanted a long weekend getaway close to skiing. There was plenty of room for 3 people, comfortable living room and dining area, and the kitchen had everything we needed for a home cooked meal. Best of all, this place didn’t require us to do tons of housekeeping prior to check out which we truly appreciated. We are planning to stay here again next trip out!

Mislead

The residence is decent. It's clean but needs maintenance. The location is a little out of the way which wouldnt be an issue if the amenities where reasonably available. We booked a sbowboarding trip and specifically looked for a place with a hot tub. Upon booking, i read the review and staryed to wonder if the hot tub was available. I contacted management ti inquire whether the hot would be available. I was assured that it would be. What I was not told is there will be a fee to use the amenities. Now I was prepared to pay something because I read the reviews. But $20 per day per per day is not an available amenity. It is very misleading and i will bevreporting it to the company. This is very dissapointing.

We had a nice time. It was a hot week and the fans helped. There was some Mold and several lightbulbs out. The only huge bummer was having to pay so much to use the pool and the high fees otherwise it was super fun!!

Couch and beds are super comfy. Lots of blankets and towels. My only suggestion is letting folks know that it will cost you $16/person to use the hot tub, pool, and gym facilities. Loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

Inaccurate Description of Amenities

Condo was nice, but the one amenity I wanted (and checked) was a hot tub. This unit promised a hot tub, but turns out it was at the local community center and I needed passes which were never provided. I called the first night to say we needed the passes. While they were friendly on the phone, the passes were never delivered for my whole stay.
