The shower upstairs wasn’t working, the mixer valve for the hot and cold water didn’t work. Getting in was an issue and took over an hour in the cold. Beds weren’t comfortable either. Other than that it was a nice place.

Nice Northstar Stay

Place fine for a weekend, clean and comfortable. Double bed is a futon in the living room: description could have been clearer on that detail. Other than that small issue, a fine Northstar lodging for ski weekend.

Cozy but dated

Comfortable and cozy condo with lovely views from the balcony. Plenty of room to sleep and 2.5 bathrooms. Noisy due to planes and trains. Kitchen cookware not suitable for cooking and a very looooong walkway from the parking area with 22+ staggered steps made it a demanding load in/out for us two 70-year olds.

Good location

The condo was fine in terms of an accommodation but needs an update as kitchen tools and appliances were ancient -- as was the TV in the master bedroom. Things worked, but an improved decor would help, as would newer pillows and other touches. We didn't spend a lot of time there, but it's a good place and would be better if it was fixed up a bit.

Wonderful views, clean, convenient

We had a last minute need for a place at Northstar and this was available. While a bit tight and somewhat dated, the unit had a great view of Marti’s valley, was clean with a well set up kitchen, washer/ dryer, 3 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. There was one problem with the shower head in one bathroom that requires attention: water is spraying out from the threads where the shower head attaches to the chrome pipe coming out of the wall. It looks like the pipe needs to be reattached to the shower head with new Teflon threading tape. It wasn’t a major issue for our stay, but something not likely to be seen by the cleaning crew till a major problem develops.

Nice cozy place for four people

We really enjoyed the condo. Has all the amenities needed for a weekend get away and very convenient to local ski resort. Our only complaint was the sleeping arrangements advertised. Says that condo sleeps 6 including sofa couch but no way anyone over the age of 5 could comfortably sleep on this sofa bed. My 2 teenage kids ended up sleeping on the floor for three nights cause couch was broken and very uncomfortable. Please advertise this condo for a max of 4 people to reflect actual beds. -Dan

Overall enjoyable stay

Overall a pleasant stay, sits on top of the Indian hills condo area. We went in August, it was quite hot in the mid 80’s and the upper level of this duplex gets hot. Even with the fan blowing it made me wish there AC. The views are great and so is the location. Northstar is really a downhill mountain bike Mecca, and there’s some pretty decent X-country trails (Thompson Memorial Trail) that is just off the back side of the condo. The shared amenities of the rec center is fabulous (cafe w alcohol, arcade, pool table, group BBQ area with a cute creek that runs past) and I never had trouble finding parking in the gated key card acess lot. The rec center is $3 a day/ person, but bring your own towels (of which the unit has plenty) to avoid the $1/towel fee. The kitchen is well stocked in terms of gear but missed a few key pantry items (oil, dish sponge, hot sauce). Place was clean overall though I spent some time sweeping the deck as we wanted to make good use of the decks. It’s a bit of a walk with several tiers of stairs so not for people with mobility issues. The lockeable closet out front held my Mtn bike and daughters bike. Price could have been a little more reasonable for how quiet and off season things were. Vacasa came through in super timely fashion when the BBQ grill ran out of gas and someone brought more over ASAP.

Great price for the space and location. There is a very nice view from both balconies. And we really appreciated the free shuttle service that took us to and from the village at Northstar. Very happy with our stay.

All worked well , sorry we couldn’t stay for our entire booking, but the weather intervened. Otherwise we would have liked to stay for our full engagement. Vacassa does have a problem matching people with the number of towels. A previous booking was short of bath towels and this one short of wash cloths and hand towels. Takes forever to get additional ones delivered. Maybe cleaning services needs a checklist that is coordinated with the number of renters arriving?

Great property

This is one of my favorite condos. Nicely decorated, clean and although small it did not feel cramped. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of thicker bath towels than we have seen at other places. Would definitely stay here again. My only negative comment was the internet service went down the day after we arrived and never came back up. We were told the cable co but working in the area.
