The gourmet kitchen is a culinary enthusiast's dream, featuring a six-burner gas Thermador range and sleek Kitchen Aid stainless appliances, creating the perfect environment for cooking and entertaining. The adjoining dining area comfortably seats six, becoming the center for family meals and laughter.

Outside, the generous deck offers a tranquil place to relax, providing stunning views of Alder Creek. Truckee area biking

We were a group of 6 mountain bikers that biked at the Adventure Park and Incline village, so the house was perfect for our size group, location and all the amenities of Tahoe Donner, we had a great time.

Beautiful property

Lovely home! Wonderful flow and beautifully made. A great space! We were disappointed to discover the fireplace was broken when we arrived. Would have been nice to have been given a heads up. There were also no instructions for other items like the heat, etc. The bear box was also frozen shut and only one show shovel worked (the other was broken). Small inconveniences that could be easily solved. Overall, wonderful home!

We gathered for a family reunion and had 3 generations gather (between 2 houses) from age 88 down to age 20. The house and main room accommodated our needs for family dinners and get togethers. Main bedroom and separate bath worked perfectly for the older generation. We would rent again!

Good house but needs a bit of maintainance

We enjoyed our stay, this is a good house with all necessities and in a great location. But I would like to point out very dirty windows (looks like the dirt is inside between the glass panels and can't be cleaned easily). The carpet and the couches also felt a bit unclean. These things mismatched our expectation of a premium deal (based on the price and description).

Terrific Getaway

We booked this house for 2 families of 4 (8 people total, 4 adults and 4 school-aged kids) to ski for Spring Break. Check-in and check out was super easy and the management team proactively texted us all the info we needed in advance of our stay. The set up was terrific with plenty of room for the kids to have their own beds and adults to have ensuite bathrooms. There is a downstairs TV area and ping pong table, so adults had the kids watch movies downstairs while we hung upstairs. The location was less than 5 minutes away from the Tahoe Donner Ski Resort. There's been a ton of snow this year, so it was nice to book a place with easy driving to ski. Additionally, the house has a nice flat driveway, which made getting in and out much less stressful. The kitchen is a great set up with a nice fancy range, plenty of room in the fridge, and everything was very clean. There were basic provisions stocked in the cupboard (cooking oil, a few spices etc) and pretty basic kitchen tools/cookware, so if you plan to do a lot of cooking, you will want to bring some things of your own. We really enjoyed the hot tub after days skiing and ping pong when the snow kept us inside. I think this place would be awesome in summer and winter months alike.

Very Nice snow Adventure

We loved our stay and the house was very clean, roomy, and had all the needed amenities. The location Truckee and the ski resort was very good. We would love to rent again. The only issue which was more weather-related, was the driveway was iced over and not cleared like most of the driveways in the neighborhood. This was a potential safety issue for seniors like ourselves for slipping, and it was very difficult backing in and out of the driveway.

Beautiful house, close to ski lodge

What a beautiful house! I was in love as soon as I stepped inside. It has such a great layout. We really enjoyed the open space kitchen and living room, which makes it easy to cook and socialize at the same time. It is very close and easy to Tahoe Donner Ski Resort and to Z Grocery Store. Communication with the owners/property managers with easy and they quickly responded to any questions we had.

Friends getaway

This is the second time our small group of 4 couples spent a week in Truckee. Love the location - hiking, escape rooms in Reno, Virginia City, the train tunnels in Truckee, all a short distance away. Grocery store close as well. Really liked the house with the exception of - no air.... - very hot upstairs, downstairs at least 15 degrees cooler. Glad we brought fans. - no way to block hot sun from shining on face while at dining table, no shades for top windows and no cross ventilation. - dining chairs very uncomfortable - beds comfortable, linens clean. - cleaning crew needs to look under things- grapes under chair, shoe under bed, etc. - plenty of room to be "alone" or spend time as a group. - plenty of parking. - kitchen well equipped, although garbage compactor and small beverage fridge not working.

We had a great stay in this lovely house! There was plenty of space for us and was well equipped. We enjoyed the mini ping pong table and the hot tub. The location is great, only a few minutes from the Tahoe Donner Ski resort!

Fantastic Cabin in serene setting

My family and I loved our stay in this unbelievably beautiful cabin. It has everything you need and more. Great layout and very nice upgrades. Nicely decorated and very cozy. Great location as well. We will definitely be looking to stay here again in the near future.

Non-responsive "Management" Company with significant issues

This is a lovely home. Indeed, it's exactly the place you'd want to splurge a bit on to celebrate a milestone birthday with family. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience with SkyRun "Management Company". If I was the owner of this home, I'd feel just as ripped off as we felt as guests. We had multiple issues during our stay that significantly impacted our vacation: 1) There was no internet access for the entirety of our stay. The first person we spoke to told us the issue was an outage in the area, which it turned out was untrue. More than one neighbor told us that their services weren't impacted and the next SkyRun agent we spoke with told us a different story about the issue being with a connection to the house and that they were “waiting to hear from the owner” about servicing the problem. No one from SkyRun kept us updated. We had to call repeatedly to no avail. Not having internet access is a significant issue because all local ski and recreation areas require prior reservation and purchase. My kids missed out on a much-anticipated sledding day because we couldn’t book early. 2) When we arrived, one smoke alarm was already disabled in the living room which was concerning. But our trip took an even more annoying turn when at 5am on Friday the smoke alarm outside the master bedroom door began beeping loudly and incessantly on the minute. I had to call and text repeatedly to get someone from SkyRun on the phone. When I finally spoke with someone, they told me that someone would come later in the afternoon or early evening because they were in “Reno” and couldn’t get there sooner. We left for the day. When we returned, we assumed the problem had been taken care of. Then, at 11pm, the beeping began again. Again, no one responded to my text or phone call. Our tallest guest had to balance on a chair to remove the smoke alarm. 3) While we understand that 4wd is “required” there was no way 3 cars of any kind could fit safely in the poorly plowed driveway. It was only partially plowed, icy, and dangerous to reach the walkway to the door. The person we spoke to from SkyRun on Thursday was rude and surly about both the driveway and the internet issues. Additional issues included a dysfunctional dishwasher that left grit on all dishes (including the ones that were stored as if they were clean in cabinets when we arrived). No one from SkyRun has responded to my calls or texts.

Lovely home but no internet as advertised

The house is spacious and clean and would have been a great family vacation, however the internet wasn't working as listed. This meant that we were not able to watch tv/movies with 3 teenage boys. More importantly my husband and I were not able to work all weekend which we needed to do. The property management company was not responsive and after reaching out multiple times they said it was an outage and they would not offer any type of compensation. I believe we should have been notified so we could make arrangements.

Great property, great location

The house was perfect for two families w/ kids. Great layout and location, and the hot tub was a great bonus after a day on the slopes! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for others.

Great for 2 families

Great rental for 2 families. Each couple had their own bathroom and the kids shared one. Nice, open and cozy. Great location, 1.5 miles away from Tahoe Donner Ski Resort which is why we picked it. We had some trouble with the lower heater but the manager made it right and kept checking in with us. Thanks for a great weekend!
