This luxurious custom home located behind a privacy gate is certain to become a traveler's favorite! It was designed for adult stays only as it sits on a sheer bluff overlooking the Pacific and has some of the best panoramic ocean views in all of Trinidad. Sit in the hot tub, soak up 180 degree views of the NorthCoast and watch for whales out at sea. The expansive backyard is uniquely designed with a colorful outdoor mural, whale sculpture, pond and gardens. Enjoy barbecuing and dining in comfort around the outdoor gas firepit table, sofa & chairs while watching the sunset over Camel Rock.

This single level home with vaulted, wood lined ceilings and gorgeous wood floors has an open concept floor plan with wall to wall, floor to ceiling windows that invite the seascape vista into the living and dining room. Guests can cozy up by the gas fireplace in the separate den for watching T.V. The culinary lover’s kitchen includes upscale stainless steel appliances, a gas stove and a breakfast bar for fun entertaining. The two deluxe bedrooms both offer magnificent ocean views, quality King beds and desks for traveler’s needing to work while getting away. The two bathrooms have beautifully tiled walk-in showers and the master bathroom includes a bathtub. The larger bedroom has the ensuite bathroom and the other one is conveniently located just down the hall. Every amenity in this home is set up with style and comfort in mind for a relaxing getaway by the sea.

Take a very short drive less than 2 miles away and explore locals favorites - Moonstone Grill for great food and Moonstone beach, Houda Point to watch the surfer's at Camel Rock and Luffenholtz for beachcombing. Continue a few miles further North on Scenic Drive and arrive in the quaint seaside village of Trinidad with a full service grocery store, Beachcomber Cafe, Moonstone Winery Tasting Room and some great local eatery's. Visit Trinidad's pier and hike around Trinidad Head for amazing panoramic vistas. Drive 30 minutes North and hike in the majestic Redwood National Park.

What a gem of a property! The views were top notch. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub each evening while staring out at the waves. The bed was super comfortable. Although we didn’t cook, the kitchen appeared to be well stocked with spices and dishes. It was a great launching location for us to explore so many of the redwood hiking trails.

Breath taking ocean view with great privacy. This property really has it all. It’s top notch. The kitchen is modern with all the appliances and space you could need. The bed was very comfortable. We didn’t want to leave.

Beautiful cliffside bungalow home. Expansive ocean and beach views with a large well appointed deck and well kept garden to wander. This was a wonderful home for adults. Both bedrooms are spacious with views. Ideal for 2 adult couples or, for us, travel with the in-law. The kitchen had most of what you would need to cook with some of the best knives we have ever used (excellent for cutting up watermelon). We did buy some leftover containers, but they had a lot of spices and even aluminum foil. The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were lovely and clean with great water pressure. We were only 15-20 min away from Redwoods National Park hikes, 5 min away from the Sue-Meg state park and only 45-60 min away from Jedidiah Smith Redwood State Park and Humboldt Redwoods Sate park. The location, the views and the upkeep of this rental made it one of the best we have stayed at. Thank you for sharing this home with us.

Very cute house, beautiful garden and deck, and of course, amazing views.We had a great time there, nice walk on the beach, nice nature trails. Kitchen had everything we needed.Only small issue we encountered was that the afternoon sun was heating the living room pretty hard and even with the AC running, the main living room was pretty hot.

A very comfortable home with amazing views. The location is ideal for a home base while exploring the gorgeous coast and incredible redwoods. It’s hard to leave when the weather is clear. The house is prepared with most of the normal necessities. We would love to return one day.

Had a wonderful weekend at this property. The layout was open with amazing views. The deck and hot tub area were well laid out for perfect ocean views and the gardens were a special treat. The location was convenient for hikes and microbrews. Would stay here again.

Beautiful but

This place is overall wonderful. Beautiful views, great house for the most part however it needs one designated smoking area in my opinion. I completely understand not smoking in doors, however not allowing it outside in the back or anywhere on the property is too strict for my liking. When we’re paying this much to stay here, don’t make me have to risk my life on unfamiliar roads just to smoke a little. My other qualm with this listing is the hottub time frame. Not at all after 10 pm is offensive for the price we’re paying here. I’m not a noisy neighbor anyway but the way the contract threatens eviction for breaking this rule and the “no smoking anywhere on the property” didn’t sit right with me. However the space is beautiful and the view was unmatched. I just wish there had been one tiny designated smoking area, even at the end of the driveway would be better than nothing. Overall, it was a great stay and I would consider coming back.

House was roomier than we anticipated. Super comfortable and very clean. Well organized storage spaces and everything we needed. An outside area to rival any luxury resort. While at the home, we spent most of our time on the deck reading, relaxing, and enjoying the hot tub. Site manager was wonderful and responsive. The access to Redwood National Park was convenient. The only lack was a good grocery store. Will certainly recommend to all who are looking for a luxury stay in Northern California.

Weekend Getaway

This was our first time up in Northern California/Redwood Forest. We had a family group of 4 and this home accommodated us very well. Very peaceful and quiet location. Gorgeous views and Sounds of the ocean surrounded us. Complete relaxation! Fully equipped kitchen and floor to ceiling views of the ocean from inside the home. On one afternoon we went horseback riding up in the nearby town of Orick. There we rode into the Redwoods where we climbed an elevation of over a 1,000ft. Recommend taking your binoculars or a telescope to this home
 on a clear night you can see countless stars. In the afternoon we spotted Two Bald Eagles nested in the tree line just south of the home. Noticed them both on the top branches after 5pm on both nights we were there. Truly felt like they were enjoying the sunsets with us. We Will definitely return!

So good, I almost didn't review it.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property and house are absolutely beautiful, and we wish we could just keep it all to ourselves and not let anyone else know. Any chance the owners want to sell this one to us for cheap? :D The view is amazing and so relaxing, and the neighborhood is quiet. The garden outside is really nice, as well, with vibrant colors. The location is within easy reach of McKinleyville, which is a pleasant small town. Safeway is there for your groceries, a few nice restaurants, and a Starbucks which actually gets the order right, every time. In the other direction, North on the highway, you can find more beaches and hiking trails. Overall, this was a great experience. We will be back as often as we can.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. The ocean view was breathtaking and the hot tub was a nice bonus. It is close proximity to the redwoods and has great amenities. Highly recommend choosing this as a place for your next vacation.

Lovely property!

My friend and I spent a long weekend enjoying this gorgeous property and the delightful local attractions. The little towns nearby are charming. The beaches are awesome. And there’s nothing like hiking with the redwoods. I highly recommend!
