This large 2300 sq. ft. cottage is located on Sandy Lake near the Town of Buckhorn. The interior is bright and comfortable with an open-concept living room, dining room, and kitchen. The cathedral ceiling with large picture windows opens this great room to its surroundings and provides nice views! There is a walkout from the dining area onto the deck overlooking the lake. The large master bedroom, located in the loft, features a vaulted ceiling and a 4 pc. ensuite. The finished walkout lower level also features picture windows with nice views and access to the screened-in porch. From here, you can walk out to the lake, dock, and swimming area. The water is a granite shallow entry with a sandy bottom that slopes to deeper water much further out. This is a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy cottage country!

Our cottage cottage is very secluded and is located on the East shore of prestigious Sandy Lake. Itâs a 3,000 sq. ft. cozy A-Frame style finished with a unique South-Western/Navajo decor. It has a 20ft. high vaulted pine ceiling in the living room/dining room area and stunning panoramic views of the Lake and sunset.
We have seven bedrooms, ( (5 Queen, 2 Bunk Beds with a double on the bottom and a single on top) a living room with a stone fireplace, a gourmet kitchen with new stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, a dining room, family room, three 4-piece bathrooms, and a screened-in porch. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom on the main floor.
It is surrounded by 1,100 sq. ft. of deck overlooking the lake. The shoreline is approximately 160 ft. of rugged granite flowing into a white sandy bottom. The dock is about 30 ft. long and the depth of the water at the end of the dock is approx. 4 ft. Thereâs a fire pit, a dock, a picnic table, and plenty of Muskoka-style chairs to relax in. Water sports equipment includes a canoe, kayak, and paddle boat. An aluminum rowboat is also available.
Rental Contract Required
No Parties or Events
Max. 16 occupants, including infants. (No more than 12 adults)
Primary Renter must be 35 years +, and residing at the cottage for the rental period.
** Although there is a cleaning service, guests are still required to leave the cottage in a neat, clean, and tidy state. Please remember this is a privately owned home, not a housekeeping cottage or hotel. Extra cleaning charges will be billed if necessary.

Sandy Lake is spring-fed, quite shallow, and has a white sandy bottom (hence the name Sandy Lake). What makes this Lake so unique is its clarity and colour. On a sunny day, the water is a turquoise colour â youâd think you were in the Caribbean! Also, since the lake is shallow itâs great for kids and warms up very early in the season.
We are just 2 hours from midtown Toronto, and conveniently located just ten minutes from the Town of Buckhorn, where youâll find a Food Land, LCBO/Beer Store, and restaurants. Itâs also close to Lakefield and Bobcaygeon, quaint little towns with great shopping, and only 35 minutes to Peterborough!
