The Meadfoot Bay Apartment is a superb one bedroom apartment situated on the first floor in the wonderful Hesketh Crescent which overlooks Meadfoot Bay in the leafy Meadfoot area of Torquay. This stunning historic Regency crescent is arguably one of the best in the entire country and certainly has the most outstanding sea views. It takes just five minutes to walk down to Meadfoot beach where there is a whole host of watersports and a beach cafe that is open all year round. It is also possible to walk to Torquay town centre and harbour within fifteen minutes and a bus service operates from just outside the gates to the crescent.

The Meadfoot Bay Apartment itself is tucked away at the rear of this historic Regency crescent and so it does not have any sea views itself but it does have dual aspect windows which ensures it is always light and bright.

The apartment was subject to a complete refit in 2021 and now offers modern and contemporary holiday accommodation. There is hardwood flooring throughout and a calming neutral pallet of colours. The kitchen is of a generous size and has all the usual appliances you would need for a short break away by the sea.

The living space is open plan and makes the most of the dual aspect windows that flood the apartment with light throughout the day.

The bedroom features a luxury pocket sprung mattress plus plenty of storage and hanging space.

There is a compact but perfectly formed bathroom which features a bath with a shower over.

The apartment comes with its own allocated parking space which is at the rear of the crescent.

Guests at the apartment can make use of the nearby Osborne Hotel facilities. These include the restaurant and terrace cafe. Guests can also make use of the hotel gym and indoor pool. These need to be booked with hotel reception and a charge will apply.

Clean, quiet and a great location

As regular visitors to Torquay to see family, we were delighted to find Meadfoot Bay Apartment. It's in a great location, a few steps from Meadfoot where you can enjoy a coffee overlooking the sea, and also within a 15 minute walk to the town centre. The apartment itelf was clean and very quiet - the tea, coffee and welcome biscuits were a lovely touch :) The provision of the parking space was also very handy. We intend to return again next year.

This apartment is everything you would need to enjoy your stay. It is wonderfully furbished and the decor is excellant. The location is private in the Hesketh Crecent building and the views from the terrace area looking out over the bay you could be anywhere in Europe ,fabulous. Will will definatly be returning

This was a lovely apartment, beautifully laid out with absolutely everything you need (minus a view!) It was comfortable and there was clearly attention to detail. The bathroom though small was cleverly designed and the shower was excellent. Location was perfect, an easy walk down to the beach through lovely gardens. Would love to return!

3rd visit, never disappoints!

This was our 3rd visit to this apartment. The location is fabulous, not sure there are better views of the area than those from the hotel terrace and the local bus service makes getting up and down the hill much easier when you don’t fancy the walk. The apartment is bright and modern, really good standard of kitchen equipment, separate bedroom and a compact but perfectly functional bathroom. The standard of cleaning both before and during the stay was excellent and the property management team easy to contact. Having talked to guests of the Hotel/Apartments on site, the guaranteed parking space is also a massive bonus. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else when visiting Torquay.

Wonderful apartment in fabulous location

We have stayed at Meadfoot Bay Apartment many times and are never disappointed. It is easy to book online, the property managers keep in touch and provide all the information needed both before and during your stay. The apartment is very clean and well laid out. The bathroom is compact, but this is clearly explained, and it has the best shower ever!! Everything you could need is provided. It is nice to see the effort made each year to keep it modern and fresh - the new settee this year was a hit! In terms of location, the walk into Torquay is mainly downhill and lovely. The bus stop just across the road is handy for those who don’t wish to walk and is around every hour. I’ve mentioned in previous reviews but it is worth reiterating that the car parking space is a bonus at this property too. Highly recommended

Lovely apartment, fabulous location

Our second stay at this apartment. Can’t fault the ease of booking or the communication from the letting company both before and during our stay. The apartment is well presented, very clean and with excellent facilities. Everything is modern and in keeping with the feel/layout of the accommodation. Location is fabulous, great for walking and convenient for local bus service (albeit limited). The hotel terrace bar on site is open to none residents and is a wonderful setting for an evening drink. Great to have a private parking space, such a bonus for any holiday accommodation. The apartment itself is spacious in terms of the living/kitchen space and bedroom. Everything you need is provided, right down to cleaning materials, dish cloths, tin foil etc. The welcome pack of milk, biscuits etc is a lovely touch too. The bathroom is very compact (this is clearly indicated in the accommodation description) but very well laid out and functional. Again, everything you need is provided. All in all, a lovely second stay and it won’t be our last. Really interested to look at some of the other properties Torquay Holiday Lettings offer but equally reluctant to give up this location!!

Lovely apartment

Excellent place for a short break, with 2 minor quibbles (1) bedroom too light - needs a blackout blind (2) settee not very comfortable. Overall, very well equipped and designed, and lovely being able to walk one minute down to Meadfoot Bay for swimming, watching the sea, etc. Also very peaceful. Adam, property manager, very helpful and responsive in communications.

Beautiful apartment in a stunning location

Just returned from a week at Meadfoot Apartment. The apartment is located across the road from the beach and is set in beautiful gardens. The apartment is on the first floor to the rear of the property and really gives the wow factor when you walk through the door. It is tastefully furnished, immaculately clean and the attention to detail is superb. We particularly liked the fact the good quality equipment was supplied ie kettle, toaster, microwave AND the little touches like fresh milk and biscuits on arrival. Adam kept in touch before and during our holiday. Instructions were clear and we were confident he would be on hand should we have needed anything. We would definitely recommend both this apartment and booking direct with the company as we saved money choosing this option. Will be staying again when in the area!

A small but beautiful, stylish apartment. We could not fault the apartment , kitchen facilities were excellent and well set out. Bedroom was beautiful with plenty of storage. Bathroom small but functional. Location great and the bonus of a allocated parking space. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent location for a seaside break.

We have just had a short break in this little gem of an apartment. Superb, quiet location 2 mins from the sea, yet 5 mins drive from centre of Torquay. The owner has done a complete refurbishment and the furnishings and fittings are to a very high standard, providing everything you need for a holiday. A huge bonus to this apartment is a private, marked and numbered car parking space at the back of the building. Access to the sea is by crossing some beautifully laid out gardens in front of the apartment block straight down to an all the year round cafe with food. There is no mobile reception in the flat except by wifi which is provided. Outside there is no problem with reception. All in all we had a great little break there and would highly recommend it.
