First Light - Vintage waterfront with hot tub, sauna + EV charger
First Light – Vintage Waterfront Retreat with Hot Tub, Sauna & EV Charger
⸻
Create lasting memories at First Light, a 1970’s original post-and-beam inlet beach home, and make it your retreat. Wake to the sunrise peaking over Meares Island, casting a golden hue over the water. With nearly an acre to explore, including the yard and private beach, the home comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests. Soak in the hot tub, steam in the cedar barrel sauna, or cozy up to the fire — these touches make the home truly special. From the house or yard, wildlife sightings are common, including orcas, herons, seals, and bears.
⸻
HOUSE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Barrel sauna and hot tub
- EV Charger
- Waterfront access and epic views
- Near downtown Tofino
As you enter, large windows frame sweeping inlet views, and a propane fireplace anchors the open-concept living and dining area. The living room features a 55-inch Smart TV with Netflix, Prime, and Crave log-ins (no cable). Board games, cards, and books are available for a cozy night in. Binoculars are provided on the bar cart for wildlife viewing. The house is equipped with solar panels to reduce its carbon footprint.
⸻
KITCHEN:
Spacious enough for several cooks, the kitchen is stocked with everything needed to make an epic meal: basic spices, oil & vinegar, immersion blender, hand mixer, chef’s knives, soda stream, Ninja blender, and popcorn maker. Enjoy the ocean view while washing dishes. The dining table seats 6. Composting and recycling are encouraged.
⸻
COFFEE + TEA:
A starter supply of fresh, locally roasted Foggy Bean coffee is provided. Brew with a drip coffee maker (reusable filter), Breville espresso machine, or Le Creuset French press. Assorted organic teas from Ucluelet Thay Tea and two coffee flavor syrups are included for a sweet touch.
⸻
BATHROOMS: 2
Both bathrooms are stocked with locally made organic shampoo, conditioner by Carina and hand soap (all refillable). Seven body towels are provided for 6 guests, plus hot tub towels and a hair dryer. There is one bathroom downstairs with a tub/shower combo and upstairs has a shower.
⸻
BEDROOMS: 3
*Ground Floor Bedroom: Queen bed with forest views and closet.
*Loft Bedroom (Upstairs): King bed, closet and chair with a privacy screen
*Primary Bedroom: Upstairs and extremely spacious with king bed and seating options - window seating for morning coffee and marine life watching. There are black-out blinds facing the ocean. The ensuite bathroom and walk in closet and office is accessed from here.
Two robes and natural plants provided in each bedroom for a calming nature connection. Linens provided are organic and duvet covers are linen blends.
⸻
WORKSPACE:
A walk-in “cloffice” off the primary bedroom includes a dedicated desk and chair by the window.
⸻
