- Sleeping arrangements: The primary bedroom on the main floor features a king-size bed and deck access. A second bedroom in the basement is perfect for families, with one queen and one twin bed, as well as direct access to the lower deck. The third sleeping area is found in the loft with another queen bed.
- Main level: Beamed ceilings, curved wooden stairs, and natural wood siding give the ambiance of a traditional log cabin but with modern finishings. An open floor plan connects the kitchen, living, and dining areas. The floor-to-ceiling wood-burning fireplace keeps the entire main level warm and welcoming.
- Upper level: Up above, a loft-style bedroom with its own bathroom awaits. Extra seating makes for the ideal reading nook.
- Lower level: In the basement resides a cozy family room with its own stone fireplace and comfortable seating. With foosball, a TV, a mini fridge, and direct deck access, you'll be calling the basement your second home in no time.

Local Surroundings:
- Cabin Chateau is less than 15 minutes south of downtown West Jefferson, home to all sorts of fine dining establishments, breweries, boutique shops, and galleries. For a peek into Ashe County's culinary culture, stop by Ashe Co. Cheese Factory to taste test samples and watch the cheesemakers work their magic. New River Brewery is the place to be to try out some of the High Country's best craft brews. When you're ready for dinner, your options are endless. Some of our favorites include Red Dog Bar & Bistro, Craft Bistro in the Old Artists' Theater, and Boondocks Restaurant.
- West Jefferson is an outdoor-lover's paradise. Within town limits is Mount Jefferson State Natural Area, where you can take a leisurely hike or park at one of the many overlooks for sweeping panoramic views of downtown WJ and the surrounding areas. Venture a little further out, and you'll find the historic New River, a beloved paddling and tubing destination for locals and tourists alike. Bring your own boats, or rent equipment from one of our many outfitters, such as Zaloo's Canoes or Riverside Canoe & Tube Rental.
- For our spring, summer, and fall visitors, we highly recommend taking a day trip up to Boone and exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway. Each season brings different sights, from the springtime wildflowers to the autumn foliage. After you finish adventuring, head into downtown Boone or the nearby town of Blowing Rock for even more shopping and dining experiences. In the fall, you can even catch a college football game at Appalachian State University. Go Neers!
- Winter in the High Country can be just as exciting as summer. Appalachian Ski Mountain is just a 40-minute drive away and home to thrilling slopes for skiers and snowboarders of all experience levels (they even offer classes for newbies and kids). App Ski Mountain also offers more laid-back fun, like snow tubing and ice skating.

- Access: Located in the popular Big Tree subdivision, Cabin Chateau is easily accessible from paved roads. However, we always recommend 4WD or AWD for our winter guests, as the mountain roads can get icy.
