The home was lovely - tidy and clean upon arrival, and the beds were comfortable. The home had everything we needed to relax and unwind - it was a great experience! The setting is beautiful- it’s on a tidal beach where lots of birds fly and look for food and the sun and moon glint on the water. Tall trees surround it . The front of the house facing the water is basically all windows, allowing spectacular views from the inside as well as from the spacious outside porch. The location is a bit remote, which was fine with us but may not be right for someone looking for quick access to restaurants or coffee shops.

We've come to this property for years. It is the right size for our group of friends. We enjoy the remoteness of it and appreciate the simplicity of the lodging while at the same time having what we need to accommodate all of us regarding bathrooms, kitchen facilities and living space.

Photos don’t do justice to this tranquil, spacious waterfront getaway, less than 2 hours from downtown Seattle. 3 generations, age range 20 months to 70, spent an idyllic 3 days, rarely leaving the property. At hosts’ advice, we rented paddle boards in Port Gamble, which led to daily encounters with seals and otter as well as instructive conversation with the shellfish farmers across the inlet. The last day we ventured as far as Chinicum and Port Townsend discovered their charms. Gorgeous sunrises. Fun beachcombing and crab watching at low tide.

Beautiful Location

The property is very lovely and quiet. Our kids loved exploring on the beach. Very good communication from the owner. Guests do need to bring in drinking water if staying for several days.

A perfect house for our family group of five adults and two kids. The beach was not as sandy as some, but lots of shells and sand dollars to be found, as well as a very safe place for little kids to play in the water. The only tricky part is that Google maps tries to take you down a road that does not exist to get to the house ... but just follow Heather and Leah's instructions and it is easy! Internet is a little slow but given the delightful remoteness of the house it is well worth that little inconvenience! Thank you!

Beautiful and relaxing!

The property is right on the beach with beautiful views of the water. It was so very quiet and relaxing. We had a family bbq and everything we needed was available from propane for the grill to large bowls. I would definitely stay here again! It is the perfect place for a family retreat.

Pictures don’t do this property justice

The host is great and the home is clean stocked and is set up for up to 10 adults. But the best part is the location- the land this property sits on. You get your own personal bay, wildlife viewing deck, kayak launch, tide pools, and hiking paths. It is very remote and absolutely magical.
