Summary:

Tuin van Keet - 37 is a cabin for four people in Oud Ade. It offers views of the woods and the water. The Tiny House is situated in the small-scale park De Tuin van Keet, which is currently still under construction, in a green and water-rich part of the Randstad.



The Space:

Inside, the atmosphere is light and peaceful, with large windows that naturally draw your gaze towards the water and the woods.



The kitchen is equipped with a coffee machine, cookware, crockery, a dishwasher, a freezer and an oven. You can sit down at the dining table for breakfast or an evening meal.



The master bedroom has a double bed, storage space and a large window; through the door, you step directly onto the decking by the water. The second bedroom has two single beds. Bed linen and towels are provided. There is one bathroom and you can use a washing machine in the communal area. The living room is equipped with air conditioning and underfloor heating.



Outside, you can sit on the decking with a picnic table, right by the water, with a view of the woods, which gives the location a natural, peaceful atmosphere.



Please note that the Tuin van Keet is still very much a work in progress.

Work is still in full swing at the park, but it’s already a lovely place to spend time. Think peace and quiet, open spaces and beautiful green surroundings where you can really unwind.



In the coming period, the park will be further expanded with fun extras, such as a natural playground, a five-a-side football pitch, a fire pit, a BBQ area, a vegetable garden and a pick-your-own forest. These features are currently under construction or in the planning stage. It is therefore possible that not everything is quite finished yet. We hope you’ll understand. It’s precisely this ‘new’ and growing character that makes it so special, so we’d love to welcome you to Tuin van Keet!



Guest Access:

At the back of the park you’ll find the car park. You have your own numbered space; the exact number and route are in your Boarding Pass. You can store your bikes at the accommodation. Pets are not allowed. For other practical info, such as access and arrival instructions, you’ll find the details in your Boarding Pass.



The Neighborhood:

You’ll be staying in Oud Ade, a village in South Holland within the municipality of Kaag en Braassem. It’s a water-rich region with lakes, canals and polders. From here, you can take to the water at the Kagerplassen or the Braassemermeer, ideal for sailing, stand-up paddleboarding or a trip in a sloop. Prefer to stay on dry land? Then walk or cycle along quiet dykes and polder roads towards Warmond and Kaageiland. Katwijk beach is a 20-minute drive away.



Places worth visiting include Leiden with its historic centre, around 8 km away. Warmond is approximately 4 km away, Kaageiland 6 km and Roelofarendsveen about 7 km.



Other Things to Note:

Take the Kaag ferry to Kaageiland and book a table at Restaurant Tante Kee; reserve a spot by the water and take a short walk along the marina.



Hire a sloop at Sloepverhuur Warmond or Olympia Charters and cruise over Het Joppe, the Kagerplassen and the Vennemeer; moor at one of the little islands for a quiet break.



Plan a day in Leiden at Naturalis Biodiversity Center; book a time slot on weekends and see T. rex Trix and the LiveScience hall where researchers are at work.
