Zanzibar's only Floating bungalow allows guests a unique accommodation experience set on the Indian Ocean. Theres something special about escaping the hustle and bustle of every day life and taking a moment to appreciate the simple things in life. Guests can enjoy a sundowner whilst watching some of Zanzibar's finest sunsets (or sun rises) from right outside the room or taking a dip in the ocean. A free transit boat is available to transfer guests between the floating bungalow and the bar/cafe.
The space
Amenities are simple and include a shower and bucket flushable toilets. The beds are queen size and can accommodate 2 persons in each of the 2 available beds. The experience will suit those who are looking for a unique experience and enjoy venturing off the 'tourist' track. The floating bungalow staff are a wonderful team of locals who take great pride in ensuring your experience is authentic and thoroughly enjoyable.
Other things to note
Please note that there is a city Tax imposed by the Government that is in addition to the prices listed on Airbnb. The city tax is $8 per person per night and must be paid in cash on arrival at the accommodation. This $8 is paid by the client direct. We, as the host/accommodation provider, cover the 18% goods and services tax however the city tax is required to be paid in addition and as such paid by the client direct.
