The apartment was completely refurbished in 2018 with a new kitchen, new shower-room and new flooring throughout as well as many detail improvements.
This smartly furnished, but very comfortable and welcoming ground-floor apartment, near the centre of Moraira Town, and very near to two Beaches and the Marina with its myriad bars and restaurants. It has a modern open-plan kitchen, good-sized sitting and dining areas, double bedroom with built-in wardrobe and another bedroom sleeping one or two in a bed that can be set up as linked twins, a single or a double - this room too has a built-in wardrobe. The very comfortable Sofa bed in the living room converts quickly and easily into a double bed although it's more likely to be used as a single for a young child. There is also a completely new shower room with walk in shower and a private terrace accessed via both living area and main bedroom. The shared roof-top pool (with large shallow area) and terrace has recently been completely refurbished. There's a tree shaded gardens to the front of the apartments with a kiddies playground. Supermarkets, small shops, boutiques, banks and wonderful places to eat are all within a few minutes walk. Central Moraira has real Spanish charm & a warm welcome for visitors. There is secure underground parking with a reserved space at the apartment - a real bonus in a town location as you'll never be searching for a parking space and the car is always cool. THE HEART OF MORAIRA TOWN BEATS JUST AS QUICKLY ALL YEAR ROUND, SO IT'S A LOVELY PLACE FOR AN OUT OF SEASON BREAK.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS: If you don't want to drive and want a luxurious and personal service, the owner will be pleased to pick you up at the airport. Groups of up to 4 can be accommodated in a large luxury estate car for âŹ120 each trip. Or you can book seats on a commercial mini-bus to and from the airport to the centre of Moraira. They have a desk on the ground floor of the arrivals building at the airport. The drop off in Moraira is a hundred metres from the apartment - I'll give you directions. The cost is around âŹ60 return per person depending on the time of year. Google: 'BeniConnect Transfers'. For your return journey they will collate your booking with other pick-ups along the coast, so youâll need to check (by phone or email in English) the day before the return journey to confirm the exact pick-up time. The vehicles are modern and clean and the service is good.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: There is a long, but slender terrace accessed by both bedroom and living room, and from here you can sit in the cool of the evening - either watching the world go by on its way into Moraira or looking across to the villa-dotted hills in the near-distance. There is also a large shared pool with a large shallow section ideal for youngsters situated on the roof terrace (open from Easter to mid-October). There is a shady garden to the front of the apartments with a recently installed kiddies playground and a small children's fun-fair is within walking distance. There is an air-conditioning unit which can also be used for heating during cooler weather and, for shade in Summer there are awnings on the terrace and roll-down blinds on the windows, together with mosquito netting. The window blinds also give added security, and there is a telephone operated entry system which is connected to the main door of the block so that callers can be screened.
RESORT AREA: Moraira's green countryside is dotted with beautiful individual white-washed villas with some low-rise Spanish-style apartments. Shady pine woods, citrus groves and vine terracing make a pretty and relaxing setting for those wanting a holiday away from the package tour crowds, although there is plenty of life and movement in and around the Town, and visitors are made to feel very welcome. There are 2 safe, sandy beaches with beach-bars, and numerous little rocky coves up and down the coast. The town has grown from a small fishing village into an exceptional attractive holiday resort which retains its local charm. There is an abundance of restaurants, bars and smart little shops which crowd around the harbour-side and popular marina, not to mention some very friendly Tapas Bars, and all of this is within just a few minutes walk from the apartment, so no need for a car but taxis are plentiful and close by if you want to venture out of the town.
LATE ARRIVALS: If you are arriving late we can arrange a 'Welcome Pack' to be awaiting you consisting of bread, butter, marmalade, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, orange juice, beer, wine, coke, cheese, ham, eggs and bacon, but the on the corner is open to midnight 365 days!
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: The beautiful 9-hole Moraira golf-course with poolside bar/restaurant Dos Toros and magical views down to the sea is open to non-members and is within a few minutes drive, with the popular 18-hole course at Jesus Pobre and the 9-hole course at Javea about 15 minutes away by car. Nearby are tennis courts, padel, water sports, boat hire and trips, horse-riding and go-kart racing. A little further away are the coastal resorts of Javea (15 mins. by car) with its beautiful sandy horse-shoe bay bordered by beach bars and restaurants, Denia with its long, sandy beach and pretty Calpe in the other direction. The local wine-making area of the Jalon valley, surrounded by mountains is also about 20 mins. drive away, and from here you can venture further into the spectacular mountain scenery - perfect for those who enjoy walking, cycling or climbing. Moraira is only 45 minutes drive from the livelier Benidorm which is close to Terra Mitica (a Disney style theme park) and Aqualandia Water Park.
