The Space:

Thoughtfully designed with sleek furnishings and bright, open spaces, this inviting home is perfect for relaxing, recharging, and reconnecting with nature.



Enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine on one of two spacious decks surrounded by woods. Inside, you’ll find a stylish open-concept living space, a designated work area, and all the comforts of home—including a washer and dryer for longer stays, fully stocked kitchen, and ultra-fast WiFi for streaming and video calls.



Outdoors, cozy up around the fire pit for s’mores and stargazing after a day of adventure.Our family-friendly cabin is packed with amenities and fun for couples, families or small groups of friends.



Whether you're planning a weekend retreat or a longer stay, Woodland Retreat offers the perfect balance of mountain charm and modern convenience.Woodland Retreat sits on a private wooded lot with no visible neighbors, and so many fun family activities!



The cabin includes:

- 3 bedrooms

-- Bedroom 1 - Queen Bed

-- Bedroom 2 - Queen Bed & Twin Bunk Beds

-- Bedroom 3 - Queen Bed (shared full bath)

- Furnished deck and private wooded lot, ideal for relaxing in peace and quiet

- Propane grill for the grillmaster in your group

- Fast WiFi that's good enough to stream movies on the TV and hold video calls

- Fully-stocked kitchen with stove/oven, and microwave

- Central HVAC for just the perfect temperature



Our cabin is part of Alpine Lake resort, with all the lakeside amenities. We’re just a few minute drive from the lake itself, where you can relax on the beach, head out for a swim, go fishing, or take out a canoe/kayak. The lake is over 150 acres, so plenty of areas to explore.



Alpine Lake also has a ton of other activities available for you (all for free!), including:

- Indoor pool (open year-round)

- Fitness center

- Tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts

- Hiking trails (and cross-country skiing in the winter)



Alpine Lake also has an award-winning, 18-hole golf course. Tee-time is bookable and prices and availability vary seasonally. Enjoy the great West Virginia outdoors in the pristine, wooded course on the lake!



Everyone’s sure to find something fun to do regardless of the season. And while we’re so close to everything, you can always retreat back to the cabin for your own little oasis in the woods.



Pet Policy

We’re happy to welcome dogs to join you on your getaway! Please note that due to allergies, we’re unable to accommodate cats. A $29 pet fee applies per furry friend, per night to help cover additional cleaning and care. Thanks for understanding—we look forward to hosting you and your pup!



Longer Stays

For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.



Please note: Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!



Also, the washer is currently out of service (5/22) and awaiting service. Thank you for your understanding.



Beyond the cabin and everything at Alpine Lake, we also love how close we are to Deep Creek Lake and Wisp Ski Resort -- both only about 40 minutes away. Great options in both the summer and winter!



Other Things to Note:

Wildlife & Trash Notice



Our cabin is located in a natural mountain setting where bears, raccoons, and other wildlife are common visitors. To help keep both our guests and local wildlife safe, it is extremely important that all trash is properly stored and disposed of during your stay.



Please keep all trash inside the designated containers and ensure lids are securely closed. Do not leave trash bags, food, coolers, or pet food outside, on porches, or near the home overnight. If trash disposal instructions are provided in the house manual, please follow them carefully.



Improperly stored trash can attract bears and other animals, creating safety concerns and potentially causing damage to the property. Guests may be charged for excessive cleanup or damages resulting from failure to follow these guidelines.
