Penally is a small, friendly village with a relaxed feel. It has two good pubs, a local bakery, a train station, and easy access to the beach. The village also appeals to golfers, with two golf clubs within walking distance—Penally Golf Club and Trefloyne—and another only a short drive away. Penally Beach, quieter than Tenby’s main beaches, is an easy walk and links straight onto the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

Just a mile away lies Tenby, one of Wales’ best-known seaside towns. Tenby offers a wide mix of restaurants, pubs, independent shops, and cafés. Its medieval town walls and narrow streets give it real character, while the harbour is a focal point for boat trips, fishing, and watersports. The town’s three sandy beaches—North Beach, Castle Beach, and South Beach—are consistently rated among the best in the UK. Tenby is lively in summer, relaxed in winter, and has plenty to do all year round, from coastal walks to local events and festivals.
