Surfside Tower 205 in Potrero is an elegantly decorated 3-bedroom, 2-bath condo with a swimming pool, and it’s a five-minute walk from the beach.



The Space:

The main bedroom has a queen bed and en-suite bath. The others have a queen bed or two twin beds, and there are two full baths in the house. Two of the bedrooms have balconies overlooking the gardens and pool.



The fully equipped kitchen is gorgeous, featuring quartz counters and a breakfast bar with stools. It has a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave and everything you’ll need.



This sumptuously decorated unit is air-conditioned and has Wi-Fi, a TV in the living room and a washer/dryer. It’s on the second floor, accessible by elevator.



The shared swimming pool has a rancho with table and chairs and a shared barbecue area. Surfside Towers offers private covered parking in a gated community with 24-hour security. No pets, please, and no smoking anywhere on the property.

The Neighborhood:

Surfside

Surfside is a charming community on Playa Potrero where many expats live permanently (in particular Canadians and Italians), and where visitors can choose from a wide range of elegant vacation rentals, appetizing restaurants and lively bars.

Located between the towns of Potrero and Flamingo, Surfside is an eminently walkable village where the beach is never more than a few blocks away. Several tour offices offer a variety of adventures by land and sea, and real estate offices will be happy to show you your next home in paradise.

Attractions you won’t want to miss include the beachfront Sailing Center (restaurant, bar, pool and sailing packages); the popular Perlas restaurant (a high-end roadhouse/sports bar with big-screen TVs, live music, and great wings, burgers and pizzas); the Cervecería Independiente craft brewery between the two; and other local eateries including the Shack and the Beach House.

The lines are somewhat blurred between Potrero and Surfside — Potrero (“pasture”) was the original Costa Rican name of both, but Surfside became the popular name when a lot of foreigners began developing its southern outskirts. Most people would probably say that Potrero starts somewhere north of Perlas, and it’s Surfside to the south. In either place, you can’t go wrong.



Getting Around:

Our dedicated agents are at your service, ready to assist you in securing a rental car, granting you the freedom to explore the area at your own pace. For short jaunts to nearby towns or beaches, golf carts are a popular choice for convenient mobility. Alternatively, you can opt for a bicycle to navigate the town and its surroundings.



In addition, we can arrange hassle-free airport transfers for your convenience. If you prefer the ease of having a rental car waiting for you at your property, we offer complimentary delivery services. Relax and enjoy the scenic drive from the airport to your destination in our private van.



While taxis are available, they may be somewhat challenging to find. Many locals rely on buses for transportation, although there is a limited selection of routes and schedules. Private shuttles are an excellent choice for reaching nearby destinations, and numerous tour companies offer transportation to and from their tours.



For your reference, our information brochure contains valuable details about local transportation options, points of interest, as well as contact information for taxi and shuttle services. Your exploration of the area just got a whole lot easier!

Special Places of Costa Rica is committed to protecting our properties and complying with short-term rental regulations, which is why all guests are required to complete an independent verification with our trusted partner, TRUVI, before check-in. You will be contacted via email, text, or app notification with instructions to complete this process. As part of the verification, you will need to choose between paying a refundable security deposit (which includes a non-refundable 2% processing fee) or purchasing a non-refundable damage waiver, which protects you in case of accidental damage during your stay. We strongly recommend the damage waiver, as it provides peace of mind and avoids tying up funds with a deposit. Both the TRUVI verification and your selection of either the deposit or the damage waiver must be completed prior to your arrival. Awesome

We wanted a relaxing vacation and this place worked perfectly. Got seamless transfers (hated that Monkey Road) to and from LIR. Easy to walk to the beach in Potrero, the market, brewery and some great restaurants, sodas and food carts. The condo was large and comfortable. The pool area and other guests (mostly kind Canadians) were great.Would recommend
Playa Prieta. Was about an hour walk each way but worth every step. Gorgeous beach with lots of locals and not too busy. Great soda on the walk back

Not a bad place

The people we worked with were all very nice. I don't really have any complaints. The place is older and could use some better workmanship. The stove is old and the decals were worn off. It took us a while to figure out which burners worked. All in all the place worked for us but I would have to give it an 8 out of 10.
