The Lighthouse - Te Mata Holiday Home

The stylish, well-equipped kitchen features high-quality appliances, including an air fryer and slow cooker. Dish up a classic Kiwi feast while the kids play on the lawn. The back of the property is fenced, protecting kiwi and quail in the bush.

Entertainment and connectivity are sorted with a Smart TV, WiFi, and a log fire that heats the whole house. Hair straighteners and a fish filleting bench are also provided.

Four well-appointed bedrooms, plus an additional queen bedroom available on request, comfortably sleep up to nine guests. A family-sized bathroom, master ensuite with separate toilet, and full laundry facilities complete the setup.

Enjoy a quick dip at a moment’s notice, or explore Te Mata, Thames, and Coromandel with activities like hiking, biking, paddleboarding, kayaking, and fishing. Te Mata Main Beach is a short walk away, featuring a diving platform for high tide, while a nearby all-tide swimming hole offers a rope swing from a pohutukawa tree.


Te Mata is 20 minutes north of Thames, with main shopping, including Pak’nSave. Te Puru (10 mins south) has a general store and takeaways, while Tapu (6 mins south) offers a dairy and great takeaways. The Royal Oak Hotel provides indoor/outdoor dining. Waikawau Boat Ramp is 6 minutes north (15 dollars to launch via barcode scan), and it's just 5 minutes by boat to the mussel farms. Coromandel (40 mins north) has a supermarket, cafés, restaurants, and top fishing spots. Stop by Waiomu Café (5 mins south) and enjoy lovely coastal beaches with surfcasting from the roadside rocks.
