Conveniently located .5 miles from the Tavares Dock and Marina and 10 minutes from the Harris Chain of Lakes docks for excellent fishing. The Big House and Hickory Point are within 5 miles. Local boat rentals, sea doos, and kayaks are available along with the Dora Queen paddle boat. Tavares, also known as Sea Plane City hosts multiple events at the city park as well as the beautiful Pavilion on the Lake.

Fabulous retro house. Spotless and well stocked with towels, bedding, kitchen tools, etc. Honestly can't say enough about the house and owners. Mike was Johnny on the spot with everything! Exceptional communication. The patio was the favorite. Great spot right on canal/river, huge lot, private, lots of wildlife including little gator, turtles and graceful birds everyday relaxing in yard. We'll be back!!! Highly recommend this comfortable, quiet and distinctive home that will bring back memories for those born in the boomer erra!! Best sleep I've had in a very long time. Thank you again!! Made for a very memorable family wedding weekend.

The house is incredible on the inside. I have traveled to numerous countries and stayed in interesting places. This property came with 2 black buzzards in mating season and a pair of small alligators. They were in the yard watching us unpack. The birds spent most of their time looking through the glass doors towards us. We would go back anytime we can. Felt like we were at home when we walked in.

Best Stay!!!!

If you have a fishing tournament at Harris or Eustis or Dora this is the place. Griffin is a run in a boat. This was a great house. 2 bedroom's, 2 bath, 2 fold up couches. 4 people can stay with plenty of space. Pond in back. Easy 4 boats and was able to charge all of them at night. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your house.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Perfect location, just a short drive to the entertainment district. We named the tamest alligator who enjoyed sunning on the bank, just a few feet from the enclosed patio, Chewy.

Perfect for central Florida visit

Great location, (close to Mt Dora, Eustis & Tavares) large house, extremely clean and neat. We really enjoyed our stay, the screened porch was perfect for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails, all while having multiple alligator sightings! The beds were comfortable and towels were nice and fluffy!! Would definitely return to this rustic but pleasant VRBO.

Great place

This house was exceptionally clean and spacious. The location was close to everything we wanted to do in Tavares and Mt Dora. The 2 alligators in the pond provided so much entertainment to our Minnesota family members. (They are harmless). We appreciated the privacy too. We played board games in the evening and might have been a little loud if the neighbors were too close. 😁

Calm and relaxing

Was there for a weekend getaway. House was actually bigger then we thought it would be so we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. The area was quiet and peaceful you got to see all kinds of birds and the Alligator. Definitely gonna rent again

Great Place

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home and will definitely be back for another stay. The owner was extremely easy to work with and responded immediately with any questions that needed answered. The home was meticulously clean. The cypress walls were breathtaking. My favorite place to sit was on the back screened porch overlooking the water. An absolutely wonderful place to sit and relax!
