This private and serene home located on five acres has the original brick floors and vigas (beams) with amazing uncluttered views on all sides. Art, furniture and lighting by local artists and artisans complement this original structure. All rooms are cozy in the winter with four kiva fireplaces and light and airy in the summer. Night sky viewing is exceptional as the house is located 10 miles outside of Taos, the Milky Way is on full display. Newly renovated, contemporary kitchen and bathrooms and wonderful outdoor spaces to relax and watch the sun/moon rise and set. Three bedrooms, all with new mattresses and bedding, one king bed and two queens and kiva fireplaces in two of the bedrooms. The beds have fluffy duvets for the cool nights and two of the beds are hybrid memory foam. The king bedroom has a wonderful view of Taos Mountain. The open dining/living area has a large flat screen T.V. with free wifi (fiber optic) for streaming your favorites. The bright kitchen is fully equipped with pottery, flatware, coffee maker, electric kettle and cookware. A charcoal grill and two outdoor dining areas to watch the sunsets and sunrises are available. A separate sitting room with fireplace is perfect for relaxing and reading. The house is located 20 minutes from Taos Ski Valley and 20 minutes from the Town of Taos. The village of Arroyo Seco has cafes, galleries, shops and an organic food market, and is just 7 minutes away. Great hiking trails are from 10 to fifteen minutes away and Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument can be seen from the west portal. The location is great for day trips to Santa Fe (1 and 1/2 hours), Red River (45 minutes), Rio Grande Gorge Bridge (15 minutes), Great Sand Dunes National Monument (2 hours), Angel Fire (one hour), Bandelier National Monument (1 and 1/2 hours) and of course the Taos Ski Valley and Taos. Activities: River rafting, kayaking, skiing, hiking, bird watching, gallery hopping, festivals, hanging out and relaxing, live music, night sky viewing.
