Great location right in front of Suizo's break which was great for our kids. We were still close enough to town to not feel isolated but far enough away to miss the crowds. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Very nice property with a lot of space on fenced in compound. You are beach level unlike some properties in this area which are on a bluff. Beautiful view with easy access to beginner surfing break. The courtyard immediately outside the gate is a publicly used area - much of the time for a couple of massage tables which can be a nice perk! Very close to restaurants and shops though we found having a golf cart to be very helpful. Be aware there are two separate buildings on this property, which was great for us being a family with adult children. Daily housekeeping and groundskeeper did a very nice job. Be ready for some local wildlife to greet you, we saw iguanas, monkeys, lots of exotic birds and the apparently ubiquitous squirrels and raccoons. Jonathan the property manager was excellent in helping us plan our stay and deal with issues during our visit. He made a 4/5 star property into a 5/5 star experience. We love Tamarindo and will definitely be back.

Our stay Casa Blue Lagoon was amazing. The staff was immediately responsive wgen we reached out. They were so accommodating. Plenty of towels, robes, beach towels, beach chairs. It was far superior to other properties that we've stayed in around Tamarindo.

Right on the beach. My daughter is handicapped so this was perfect. Great location, close to town too. Nice set up for adult kids, everyone had their own space. Huge lot, lots of trees really pretty. Refreshing pool after a hot day. Jonathan was attentive and great, we didn’t need housekeeping every day, and they were very accommodating on leaving us be. Would rent again

Location was great! Close enough to downtown but far enough to be out of the busy area. Gated compound area we felt very safe House was spacious wellEquipped and clean. Loved seeing all the wildlife in the area around the house especially the tribe of monkeys that passed through everyday! Jonathon was very responsive and helpful whenever we contacted him. Beautiful home in a great location!

Our family of six had a great stay at Casa Blue Lagoon. The house is beautiful and well appointed. Such a great location, too! The beach is beautiful! Close to everything Tamarindo! It was also a great base for us to take all the day trips to the rain forest, doing river cruises, and ATVs. Jonathan was great with directions, communication, and even made sure we had coffee, snacks and drinks upon our arrival. All the iguanas and Howler monkeys were such an added bonus! Beds were so comfortable!!! Would definitely stay again!

perfect location, great beach

We loved our visit. The beach was amazing and the water was so warm. The house needs little tender loving care, easy stuff replace light bulbs, fix fan repair slip covers on chairs.The handy man was available, but we had to call for repairs. No hot water in master bedroom shower. Little details, however the time was perfect and the local restaurants were excellent.

Relaxing stay in Paradise

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at this property. It’s located right on the beach, a short walk from all the Tamarindo action. We enjoyed the pool, and the outdoor areas. The beds were comfortable, and we loved the outdoor shower. We are counting down the days until we can return!

great location

The location was great. Steps to a beautiful beach and short walk or quick ride in golf cart to town. Lots of great restaurants, shopping and loved the markets. Jonathan our host was always available for questions or concerns and was promt with responses. The house itself needs a little care and we had an ant problem the whole time even though Jonathan was attentive to it. I would not stay there with small children due to it being 2 seperate buildings. All in all it was a nice vacation and Costa Rica is beautiful. Loved the monkeys!

Construction Next Door Is Horrible

Great location and building. But we were not warned that a hotel is being built next door. It is literally 3 feet from the property line. Construction workers look over the property. No privacy.

Fantastic time in Tamarindo with Family

Property worked out really well for us. Beautiful property with visits from many different animals. Howler monkeys, smaller monkeys, parrots large and small, iguana's. Many varied birds. Family loved it. Cool breezes. We had adult children and grand daughter so separate quarters worked out well for us. offered lots of privacy for my adult children. Large fully gated and walled property with jungle type garden settings. Jonathan property manager took care of our every need. He is a great guy and very helpful.Responds instantly to any needs. Highly recommend this place. Would stay again.

Unbeatable location with great beach, safe waves, wildlife, within walking distance to restaurants

This was an ideal location and the property served us well. Each of the three bedrooms has a separate entrance from the outside, so our family with two kids split up the adults to make this work. We loved the outdoor shower in the Master Bedroom in the main house. We often had monkeys and iguanas passing thru the yard, and beach walks provided endless enjoyment of the hermit crabs trading shells. This part of the beach is a favourite for gentle surfing waves without the crowds that are down at the other end. We rented boards and brought our boogie boards. We could walk to restaurants easily along the 2km beach. At night, the property was beautifully lit with outdoor string lights. We can't give it a 5* because there were some maintenance and breakdown issues while we were there. We tested the sofa bed in the back house. It was badly stained and the mattress and springs were shot, so we deemed it unusable. When we arrived, this unit also had a badly leaking air conditioner, and repairmen were onsite for more than half a day replacing it. There were burnt-out ceiling lights and 2 or 3 ceiling fans that weren't working. In the Master Bedroom, there was a big floor fan to compensate. The dishwasher broke down and it took more than 5 days to be repaired. Jonathan was easy to communicate with and responsive. While all mechanical things have a lifespan, for a luxury rental, we would've expected lights/fans to be in working order when we arrived for 12 days. We'd stay here again.

Beautiful property, great location

Overall we loved the property. Right in the beach which made morning beach walks so easy. The area and the houses were well laid out and roomy. The outside area was lush with trees and pretty plants. We even got to see monkeys and colorful crabs and birds and lizards. On the downside we had issues with a couple appliances; the coffee maker didn’t work (replaced after a couple days) and the dishwasher broke mid way thru our stay so we hand washed the dishes for a few days. Also neither the kayak or paddle boards were there. Despite the few negatives we enjoyed our stay at Blue Lagoon very much and would recommend it to friends. Originally we were worried because it was the beginning of rainy season and the forecast showed high rain chances every day. Turns out we had a little rain the first day while the rest of the week was very nice. Seems that most of the rain avoids that immediate area.

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay at Blue Lagoon. As others have mentioned before, there are two houses on the property so if you have young children it's probably not the best place to stay. Jonathan, the house manager, was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. We rented surfboards for the week which was perfect since we could walk out our gate and be right on the beach. One other thing to note...the master shower is outdoors. It wasn't a huge deal but after a long day on the beach and in the sun, I would have preferred to shower inside. Overall a very nice property.

Location couldn’t be better. Right on the beach. Walking distance to everything in town. Plenty of off the street parking behind an automated gate. Big bedrooms. Big kitchen. AC, pool, towels, washer/dryer. Would definitely stay again.

Had a small issue with communication prior to stay but once we engaged via WhatsApp, Jonathan was very responsive. He assisted in getting us groceries and a golf cart. House was as pictured. We stayed in June so be prepared for bugs and rain. Location is fantastic. Easier to walk into town along beach then by road/golf cart. Would stay here again.

Excellent week in Tamarindo

Awesome location , ON the beach , walkable to restaurants and supermarkets. Jonathan was highly responsive to a few maintenance issues that he quickly dealt with. 1 unfortunate part that we weren't aware of is that the property directly next to this one is under construction so there were sounds of light building work (hammering, grinders,workers) from about 6:30am till 5pm.

Excellent location and property (unless you have small kids)

This property is fantastic for many guests. The location, security, pool, and beach access are among the best in Tamarindo. **Note for Families with Young Children:** The three bedrooms are in separate buildings. The main house has one bedroom, while the second house has two bedrooms: one on the first floor and one on the second floor, with only outdoor access between them. There are no indoor stairs, and no bedroom can be reached from within any building. While adults might not mind this, this setup is not ideal for young children who might need to reach parents at night. Our kids are 6 and 8 years old and typically would sleep in their own bedrooms. However, because we did not feel comfortable with them having to go outside if they needed to reach us, my wife and I each slept with a child. It wasn't a major issue, but sleeping with my wife on vacation is way more ideal then sleeping with my 6 year old...

Absolutely AMAZING!

We stayed at Casa Blue Lagoon for nine days, and it was absolutely magical. The houses are beautiful, and it is right in front of the beach. It is very close to town, so you can go on long walks either by the beach or by the street. Our property manager, Jonathan, was very responsive and available whenever we had questions or needed something. We will absolutely be back!

What a great location! -

We are a family of 4. 2 kids 9, and 12. our 9 and 12 year olds stayed in the 'second' house. That was a first for them but a great transition/skills test! We stayed 8 nights and had a great experience. the Hosts were very attentive and available. We would stay here again.
