Situated within The Franciscan Lodge, this one-bedroom Lake Tahoe cottage is not directly on the water but is only moments from the lake. Inside, the inviting living room features a comfortable sectional sleeper sofa, cozy gas fireplace, and large flat-screen TV. The newly remodeled kitchenette includes stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked for preparing meals before heading out to explore North Lake Tahoe.

The private ensuite bedroom offers a queen-size bed and opens to a fully renovated, spacious bathroom, creating a relaxing retreat after a day on the lake or the trails.

ABOUT THE AREA
Just west of Kings Beach and running right along the lake, Tahoe Vista is a favorite of outdoor enthusiasts. For lake lovers, kayaking from one of several hidden beaches, or a motorized excursion from the new Tahoe Vista Recreation Area boat launch facility are two Tahoe Vista treats. For landlubbers, the nearby regional park sports a year-round trailhead for mountain biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing, a disc golf course, nature trails, and sweet swing sets.

In the winter, you are less than fifteen minutes from Northstar California. There, enjoy access to almost 100 trails and over 3,000 skiable acres, impeccable grooming, incredible tree skiing, and enough variety to challenge every level of skier. Take advantage of world-class terrain parks, cross-country skiing, a youth Adventure Park, and a 9000-square-foot ice rink surrounded by fire pits and a rink sidebar.

This property was misrepresented and uninhabitable. The most serious issue was the extreme road noise. The house is directly on a busy road, and the noise was constant and so severe that sleep was impossible. Traffic vibrations were strong enough to knock a picture off the wall. Despite what management claimed, this level of road noise is not clearly disclosed in the listing. Had it been, we would not have booked.There were additional major problems: the bathroom window would not close or lock (serious safety concern); the bathroom fan and heater did not work, leaving the space freezing; the bed was advertised as a queen but was actually a full and extremely uncomfortable; the thermostat did not regulate temperature; and there was no usable storage, as the closet was filled with construction materials.The conditions were so bad that we were forced to leave immediately and book a last-minute hotel, costing nearly triple the original expense, plus significant stress and lost time. This listing is inaccurate and poorly maintained. I do not recommend this property.

Cabin was cozy but next to the highway. Also needed some TLC. Floor board in front of the kitchen sink was loose and presented a tripping hazard. The bathroom fan didn’t work. And one of the key cards quit working after the 2nd day. We could easily walk to the lake shore. Also the lack of an entrance sign made cabin hard to find the first few times, esp. with road construction going on right in front. Easy to fix meals in well equipped kitchen. Tahoe Vista is a nice community.

Rejuvenating

This little cabin was ideal. It was steps away from the lake and clean as a whistle. Yes, it is by the street, but that did not affect the experience, as most of the time was spent down by the water. The cabin is spacious and modern in design. The bed was super comfy, and I loved that it had a hair dryer (I forgot mine.) It was a wonderful experience.

Great location

Location was great and check in was easy. Other than that... There was a laminated paper left on the dining table regarding "information about the property, if you need to contact the owner, the checkout process..." I attempted to contact the owner and got a response stating that she sold the property over a year ago, didn't know why they hadn't changed the information left and did not want to be contacted again regarding the property. There was no AC in the unit, there was no shampoo for the shower, there was no remote for the large TV in the living room. On the bottom of the couch there is metal bent outward in multiple spots. My foot brushed against it and it immediately cut my foot causing it to bleed for awhile... And the checkout instructions were not updated/accurate so we just had to figure it out on our own and do what we have done at previous locations to not be penalized.

Wonderful family vacation!

The property was very clean, cozy and right on the beach. The property was very well equipped with cooking necessities, very useful for a family. We had a great time relaxing in the living space and small patio. Small but comfy bed and a little loud since it’s close to the main road but would stay here again!

Perfect Location

We loved being so close to our favorite beaches. The place was super fresh and clean. The bed was super comfortable and enjoyed relaxing on the new couch. The kitchen had everything we needed with the exception of sharp knives. We always bring a sharp knife when we travel so not a problem. Will definitely look into staying here again in the future.
