The Hemp House | Table Cape Ocean Views
Built on a breathtaking cliff overlooking Bass Strait, this home is everything you could want for your Tasmanian stay. Fully built using Hempcrete, this home oozes character. The textured walls and natural timbers are almost as impressive as the view of the dramatic coastline of Table Cape. If you feel like a trek, you also have access to a private beach down the hill.
Large windows fill the home with natural light and frame beautiful sea and countryside views, creating the perfect setting for slow mornings, sunset dinners, and relaxing evenings surrounded by nature.
The Space
Perched above the coastline at Tollymore Road, this unique coastal home offers space, privacy, and incredible views across farmland and the ocean beyond. The open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area is designed to capture natural light throughout the day, with large windows that bring the surrounding landscape inside.
Inside, the home pays homage to its hempcrete construction, with warm timber floors and relaxed living spaces designed for comfort. The dining area sits beside large windows overlooking the ocean, making it a beautiful place to enjoy meals while watching the changing colours of the sea and sky.
The top floor enjoys a massive bedroom and an ensuite bathroom, with a somewhat interestingly designed step up into a massive bath! On the mid-level, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. There is a third bathroom/laundry off the games room (a converted garage) on the mezzanine level.
The property sits on a private rural block, surrounded by rolling green paddocks and native coastal vegetation. Just a short drive away, you can explore quiet beaches, surf spots, and the iconic Table Cape coastline.
Outside, guests can enjoy the peaceful surroundings, star-filled skies at night, incredible bird life, and spectacular sunsets over the hills.
