The 100 sq m villa with a swimming pool is located in the quiet Isola Maddalena district, just 5 km from Syracuse (about 10-15 minutes by car) and directly opposite the island of Ortigia (formerly Syracuse). The villa is just a 5-minute drive from the crystal-clear sea of ​​the Plemmirio Nature Reserve, a protected area that includes the famous resorts of Punta della Mola, Pillirina, Punta del Pero, and Spiaggia del Minareto. Furthermore, the villa is strategically located for easy access to Sicily's main baroque cities: Noto, Ragusa, Ragusa Ibla, and Modica, all less than a half-hour drive away. Catania is 50 km (about an hour) away, while Taormina is 70 km away. A car is recommended to easily explore the island and its wonders.
The villa comprises two double bedrooms (with air conditioning), a single bedroom with a bunk bed (without air conditioning, but well-cooled by the adjacent rooms), and a spacious 50 square meter living room with a fireplace. It sleeps four people. The villa has two full bathrooms with showers: one en suite, serving the house, and the other outdoor, convenient and practical for use while staying by the pool or in the garden.
Important note: Please do not throw toilet paper in the toilet; use the designated waste bin, a common practice in Sicilian country homes.
The carefully crafted furnishings create a refined and peaceful atmosphere, ensuring total relaxation and tranquility. The private pool, for the exclusive use of guests, will make your stay even more enjoyable. The living room and two double bedrooms are equipped with SMART TVs, and unlimited Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Important notes: The villa is delivered clean and tidy, and is expected to be left in good condition upon departure, with particular attention to the bathrooms. Cleaning fees are included in the price, but a surcharge will be applied for rooms left in poor condition. The tourist tax is included in the price.

We had a wonderful stay at AnnaStella! The home is charming and well equipped. We loved the patio, pool and seating in addition to al fresco dining area and grill. The living area and bedroom were very comfy. Sicily, is a terrific place, everyone is so friendly and helpful. Especially, loved our last night dining at Onda Blu restaurant by the house. Highly recommend this home and locationFinally, Sebastian was so helpful both prior to arrival and throughout our stay.

Amazing host that met up at check in and had a welcome pack ready for us including everything we needed for our first 24h. He was also very helpful advising on restaurants and other interesting points of interest. This place is fantastic if you want total relaxation. Quiet and peaceful but you need a car to get there and to where you want to go. Highly recommended!! We will definitely come back.

Incredible place to relax

Within a 30 Minute walk (or <5 Min car drive) you can visit a beach - that we preferred to many others in the surroundings (been there 4/13 days). That beach also has lots of ruined houses to explore. Very quiet during the week.

The accommodation is highly recommended. The owner provided a lot of helpful information before our arrival (details of how to get there, restaurants and shopping facilities, ...) Communication was absolutely smooth. If we had any problems or needed support, the owner was on site very quickly to resolve them. All in all, we had a very nice vacation near Siracusa. Magical stay

Staying at AnnaStella was a wonderful experience. The villa was incredibly well equipped, clean, comfortable and a really relaxing and peaceful place to stay. The pool was great and Seb was a generous and welcoming host. The location was quiet and in easy reach of amazing beaches, historical sites and Ortigia/Syracuse. You do need a car as there's nothing within walking distance but don't let that put you off an experience that shouldn't be missed.

First time visit to Sicily

I have never stayed I such a well equipped house! It has everything from large TVs to pool inflatables - both of which my children loved. This is a great holiday home for kids and adults alike with lots of outdoor space and seating and an excellent pool with its own cleaning robot. We made good use of the kitchen and barbeque and really enjoyed all the personal touches with lots of Sicilian art work and pottery. We had a lovely time and Seb is a very welcoming host.

We spent a wonderful and relaxing holiday at Sebastian's house. The lush garden and double swimming pool provide refreshment on hot days. The spacious terrace, equipped with a sofa and very comfortable and stylish armchairs, made us never want to leave. The location of Villa AnnaStella is a good base for trips to Noto, Marzamemi, and of course, Syracuse, which are a 15-minute drive away. Stefano is very friendly and hospitable. He prepared a welcome basket of treats for us, and the fridge was stocked with not only water but also wine and milk. The house is equipped with everything you need, including kitchenware, tableware, towels, and and huge amount of pillows. Comfortable beds, good Wi-Fi, and one of the bathrooms is outside. It's a good idea if you don't want to rinse off after a dip in the pool. I highly recommend this place.

Perfect holiday home

The villa has everything, but really everything that you can possibly need during your holiday. Sebastian is the perfect host, makes sure that everything is OK and answers all your questions in a second! You get a full basket with bread, milk, wine, spread, water and much more... when you arrive. For the rest is the villa super compleet and you are free to use everything available. The location is very quiet and peacefull but in 15 min you are in Ortigia with its lovely atmosphere, restaurants and bars. There are also some restaurants and nice beaches just down the road. Thanks a lot Sebastian for giving our family a wonderfull Sicilian experience and for your exceptional hospitality..Huggs from Belgium

Just returned from a very relaxing stay at the villa. The house is is a wonderful tradition property with a beautiful garden, veranda and pool and very nice outside eating area. The setting is rural, very peaceful and tranquil. There are plenty of amenities within a 15-20minute drive and some lovely beaches close by. Seb was an excellent host making you feel welcome from the moment that you book, to a warm meeting on our arrival. The gift basket he left with some wonderful local produce was a very nice extra. Its clear that its important to Seb that his guests enjoy their stay and he is on hand for any questions or problems. For a relaxing trip to a lovely part of Sicily I would certainly recommend this villa.

Feel like home

The villa makes you feel like home from the first glance. It has two pools, one for kids and one for adults with proper deepness. Our daughter enjoyed the pool all day arround. The villa has enough space with very confortable and cozy terrace for spending the evenings. Also it has spacious separate dinning terrace with direct access from the kitchen and barbeque equipment just arround the corner. The living room and 2 bedrooms are nicely infurbushed with retro marine motives - looks cozy and pleasant. Overall, the place is very quiet and ideal for family stay. The car is nessasary as nothing is reachable in comfortable walking distance. The host Sebastian is very warm, pleasant and assistive person who responses quickly to your needs. We enjoyed staying there very much!

Sebastian our host was so lovely. Check in was directly with him and we did keep him waiting but he was so patient. His home is beautiful full of rustic charm. Beds were super comfy, blinds at windows for security and to aid sleep. Kitchen compact. Secluded location off the beaten track but if you want an away from it all holiday in the peace and quiet this property definitely fits the brief. Sebastian thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Best host I’ve ever experienced. Car is essential. Restaurants are plentiful but they are mainly in Siracusa which is a good 15-20 mins away.

Magnifique villa au calme

We were welcomed by Sébastien in his beautiful Villa where we spent 2 magnificent weeks. Just a few minutes from the beaches, Villa Anna Stella is situated in a very quiet and relaxing location, 5 minutes from the essential shops and in front Cyracusa. The villa has absolutely every amenity required for a peaceful and relaxing stay. Sebastian is a remarkably attentive host. Everything was arranged so that when we arrived, all we had to do was think about taking a refreshing dip in the pool. When we arrived, everything we needed for breakfast, lunch/dinner with local sweet and savoury products, wine and even a snack for the children was provided! He gave us all the addresses and links to local amenities and recommended restaurants and bars beforehand. Sebastian also put us in touch with a local guide for ETNA and Syracuse by the Sea, both of which were memorable. Very available, he was always there when we needed him! We are very grateful for his kindness, dedication and humanity, which made our stay so much more enjoyable. Thank you Sebastian!

Review of Villa AnnaStella Syracuse September 2019

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks in the villa AnnaStella It is a compact, cosy house set in a pretty, well-kept and sunny gardens which are completely peaceful and private. The pool and garden are in sunshine all day, and if shade is needed there is a delightful veranda looking on to the garden. Over the last 25 years we have stayed in villas in France, Spain, Greece, Italy and Turkey and this is probably the best equipped villa we have ever rented. Sebastian, the friendly and obliging owner, has made every effort to supply everything needed for a relaxing and comfortable holiday; we felt welcome and at home. Our daughter joined us for 1 week during the holiday and she also found it to be just as enjoyable as we did. The location is good, set amongst fields and close to the coast. There are some small sandy coves within a relatively short distance (approximately 2 kms) from which you can swim. Syracuse is within easy reach with numerous places of interest in which a haunting past and vibrant present combine; from the Greek and Roman Theatres to the early Christian catacombs, Baroque architecture, museums and art galleries. A perfect getaway in a perfect villa ❤️

We have just returned from a glorious 11 day stay at Seb’s villa which was cosy and comfortable. Seb has thoughtfully provided everything you would need as guests. From an abundant welcome basket filled with pasta, bread, local snacks etc, to lilos in the pool, wine in the fridge and much more. Seb met us at the villa when we arrived and throughout our stay, he was always quick to respond to queries and gave us many good recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. His eagerness to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves, together with his many excellent recommendations, made our first ever visit to Sicily even more special. The location of the villa is 15-20mins by car to the main areas of Ortigia and Siracusa (good supermarkets, vibrant local street mkt in Ortigia and great restaurants, gelato/granita!). The motorway is easily accessible for trips to towns like Taormina, Modica, Ragusa and Noto. The villa is secluded enough to feel like you’re in your own quiet private space, and a joy to return to, and jump into the pool or relax, after a busy day sightseeing. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor seating area by the pool The outdoor dining area was well thought out and the fully equipped kitchen made it a joy to prepare home cooked meals on days when we just wanted to relax at home. I would highly recommend the villa to anyone and would happily return again. I’m afraid that Seb has spoilt us for future villa stays elsewhere!

Friends and I have just returned from the most wonderful week staying at AnnaStella Villa near Syracuse. It is crucial to mention first, YOU NEED TO HIRE A CAR. The Villa has a wonderful location in a rural area completely undisturbed. It is only minutes away from essentials, like a restaurant, boat hire, food shops etc but you definitely need a car to get there. That said, if you want rest and relaxation, the Villa is terrific. The host has gone above and beyond to supply everything you could possibly need, from kitchen utensils, to pool lilo and beach towels. There is a warm and homely feel and the gardens and outside space are exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for our host Sebastian and he was always on hand to instantly answer questions or help in any way. This makes a huge difference and is a rare find in my experience! He works hard to ensure visitors have a pleasant stay and it is much appreciated. A short drive away are some wonderful places to visit, Arenella beach, other Lidos (where you pay a small fee for facilities like sun loungers, bar, toilets etc) and of course beautiful Ortigia - we went during the day and for an evening. Both are worth doing. The food is wonderful - I’ve never had such fantastic steak! The kitchen at AnnaStella has everything you could want to prepare meals “at home”. A little paradise at Sicily with an amazing, lovely host

Villa Anna Stella is an absolute paradise very close to Syracuse/Ortigia. After 15 minutes by car you the reach hundreds of restaurants and bars. There are also 3 min away 5 great restaurants. The villa itself has an incredibly beautiful outdoor area with a very large pool (small pool and large pool) for PRIVATE use. From outside you cannot see inside the villa. Outside the house there is lounge furniture that is very comfortable. in front of the kitchen outside there is a huge table, nice in white color/great table decoration. In the rear area is a grill station. In the evening you have everywhere lights, the pool, the garden and small lights all around the dining area. In the house there are 2 bedrooms, incredibly comfortable and again furnished with a lot of love. Both have air condition. In the house there is 1 bathroom, behind the house there is another toilet and shower. The kitchen has all the equipment you need. Wonderful :) The property is completely fenced, there is a gate you can close. You can park inside the property. Finally and most important the host Sebastian. We have never met such a friendly great person. Sebastian is really wonderful, incredibly friendly helped us with any questions and it was great to talk to him when he came over to tend the property the property from time to time during our 4 weeks stay.We will come as it was an absolute paradise for us. Sicilian Delight

It would be remiss to review this Villa without a review of Sicily...because the experience at the Villa and the suggested restaurants, bakery etc - defines why this Island is so special. It is the sheer generosity of spirit - the warmth - the human interaction which made Sicily and the Villa so special. Sebastian is incredibly warm and engaging and generous. We have never before been greeted with so much food! But, then, that is Sicily - generous. The Villa is beautiful. It is removed enough from everything to be idyllic and close enough to get to everything soon enough. You need to get used to the driving on narrow roads (we are from Australia - so you need to have your wits about you!)...but here again, everyone goes with the flow - they accommodate...they are generous. Sebastian recommended L'Asteria Blu and a boat trip through them and this was an absolute highlight of the holiday...a beautiful trip and gorgeous swim. We went more than once to the restaurant - we were remembered and greeted like family. Sebastian replied to my questions about suggestions for parking, shopping etc immediately and was incredibly helpful. Indeed, his motto is to treat his guests like family as well. We have had 12 nights at the Villa (mid to end June) and it was hot...but the pool was an oasis, the Villa itself has air-conditioning and is cool in any event. One needs to get used to living differently when on holiday and particularly in Italy - that is surely why we travel...once this is embraced...an exceptional holiday can be equally embraced. We are already planning our return - we are actually keen to visit in Winter as well. It has been a wonderful experience. Thank you Sebastian.

Une belle maison pour les vacances. La piscine est top et permet de se rafraîchir. Situation magnifique face à Syracuse avec de nombreux restaurants proches. Sébastien est disponible, attentionné et accueillant. Un très bel emplacement pour découvrir la Sicile.

La villa idéale pour des vacances en Sicile

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour entre amis dans cette belle et charmante villa. D'une grande hospitalité et gentillesse, Sebastian a été aux petits soins avec nous durant tout notre séjour. Toutes les commodités étaient présentes et nous n'avons eu qu'à poser nos valises et profitez du lieu. La piscine et la maison sont biens entretenues et propres. Idéalement située, nous avons pu visiter Taormina, l'Etna et Syracuse très facilement. Je recommande fortement cette villa au rapport qualité/prix incomparable. Sebastian je vous remercie encore chaleureusement pour ce merveilleux séjour!

semaine magnifique à proximité de Syracuse

Accueil très chaleureux du propriétaire Sébastian qui a même prévu un pack d'arrivée (pasta, sauce, vin, eau fraiche, etc...). On trouve également tout le nécessaire pour le petit entretien + toute la vaisselle nécessaire + le matériel de cuisine + le barbecue : on se sent comme à la maison. La maison est conforme aux photos proposées sur le site. La maison est au calme et dispose de plusieurs salons extérieurs pour profiter de l'ombre (ou du soleil !) à chaque moment de la journée. La piscine est parfaite pour se détendre après les balades. Les enfants ont adoré (et dès le petit matin). Jouets de plage pour enfants fournis. Jardin bien entretenu avec de magnifiques oliviers et des haies fleuries. Quelques plages sublimes à une très grande proximité (mais voiture nécessaire). Le wifi fonctionne bien ! On recommande !
