Nellie’s Cottage - delightful boutique mountains cottage

Come and let us spoil you at Nellie’s Cottage - a much loved Katoomba cottage by new and returning guests. There is no better place to enjoy the Blue Mountains in all seasons.

Nellie’s Cottage is nestled in its own little garden featuring both traditional cottage garden flowers and Australian natives with abundant birdlife. Inside this beautiful birds and banksia themed cottage you will find everything to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

This adult-friendly and lovingly restored cottage is perfect for:
- couples of all ages
- friends and siblings travelling together*
- dedicated carers needing a well earned rest and relaxation break
- girls’ weekends away*
- book club buddies*
- mother and daughter escapes
- those coming up to work in the mountains during the week

The entire cottage is yours to enjoy whether it is one, two, three or four of you.

We are very Coeliac-friendly and will provide a dedicated toaster, board and appropriate breakfast items - if you let us know.

The Space
There is a cute corner wood burner for those cold winter nights, along with reverse cycle aircon and heaters in both bedrooms.

A fully equipped kitchen and a BBQ are there if you would like to eat in, or you will only be minutes away from the best eats that Katoomba has to offer. There are plenty of recommendations in the information compendium. A gourmet continental breakfast basket awaits, as well as a plentiful selection of teas, hot chocolate and coffee options and other little treats. French doors open on to a west facing sunny deck with escarpment views to enjoy with morning coffee fresh from the coffee machine, or with an afternoon/evening glass of wine.

Bedrooms
The banksia bedroom has a king sized bed and the lyrebird room has two king single beds, all with gorgeous high quality linens. In the cooler months you will find quality electric blankets on all three beds. Both bedrooms include two luggage racks each.

*The banksia bedroom can be configured to take 2 beds - the original king plus an added king single so we can now offer 4 separate comfy beds for a maximum of 4 guests. Please let us know if you would like this option this at the time of booking with a message - we do require a minimum of one week’s notice so we can rearrange the room and add the extra king single bed for you.

Bathroom
A spacious bathroom contains an easy access shower as well as a separate bath to relax in after bushwalking and exploring.

The entertainment corner features a TV and DVD player along with a plentiful supply of books, games and DVDs. There is local area information and Blue Mountains recommendations. The corner also has a device charging station for your use.

You will only be 10 minutes walk away from Cahill’s Lookout with its breathtaking views in to the Megalong Valley. A 5 minute drive will either take you into the main street of Katoomba via the Gully and the Aquatic Centre or around Cliff Drive to Scenic World or up to the train station.

Nellie’s Cottage is situated in a very quiet location and is the perfect destination for relaxing and becoming reacquainted with the beautiful Blue Mountains.
