Unwind at this stunning colonial farmhouse. The house was lovingly built with wide pine floors, high-beamed ceilings, and antique details for a luxurious yet charming feel. Enjoy the serenity of nature out every window, horses roaming across the street, and the sound of the rushing river nearby. The house is in the small town of Swanzey, a locals-only spot with 4 covered bridges, and scenery around every corner. Although world class hiking, shops, restaurants, skiing, and more are only a few miles away, the area feels peaceful and secluded.

The Space:

Our 1853 modern colonial farmhouse is waiting to welcome you and your family to a slower, more peaceful vacation. We know how important it is to take time to reconnect and create memories before it is too late. With its open and airy layout we can comfortably sleep 10 people.

Upstairs you will find 4 bedrooms. A master bedroom with a king bed so comfortable you will think you fell asleep on a cloud. The master bedroom has a bathroom attached. A queen bedroom, two twin bed room, and a kids bunk bed room. Every room has been lovingly designed to ensure that you get the restful relaxation you deserve.

Downstairs you will find one master bedroom with a king bed and all the elegance of a bygone era.

There is only one bedroom downstairs, the other 4 bedrooms are all upstairs.

We know how important a good cup of coffee is when waking up on vacation so we created the perfect coffee bar and lounging area with all the essentials to wake up on the right side of the bed.

Our kitchen has everything you need to whip up a gourmet meal – or just pretend like you’re going to. And if you’re feeling lazy, we won't judge if you order from takeout from one of the amazing local restaurants.

After dinner in our spacious dining room, settle in for a movie night either in our living room with a 65 inch TV or in on one of the many smart TVs throughout the bedrooms. There are also some board games you can enjoy together if you prefer!

And don’t worry, we have all the essentials! From towels, soap, blow dryer, napkins, and oxygen (you know, for breathing), we have you covered.

Seriously, our farmhouse is so perfect, you might never want to leave. We’ve had guests ask if they can move in permanently. (No, really. Please don’t.)

You are located in the heart of the Monadnock region which is known for its natural landscape and quaint New England towns. Nearby you will find no shortage of wholesome activities to take part in. Go for a world class hike at the second most hiked mountain in the world, Mount Monadnock. Go skiing or snow tubing at Granite Gorge or Pats Peak. Enjoy a peaceful picnic at Stonewall Farm, or visit the local children’s museum or nature preserve. Enjoy a live performance at the Colonial Theater in Keene. Stroll through the most charming town of Peterborough and stop in, Toadstool Bookshop to be taken to a faraway land in a good book. After a full day of adventuring, relax and recharge with a delicious meal at Luca’s Mediterranean Café and finish it off with award winning homemade ice cream at Kimball Farm. Don’t forget the best part of any full day of exploring, coming home to a cozy, comfortable house that feels like you arrived home.

We have 2 external cameras, 1 for the driveway and 1 for the back yard. They are only for security purposes.
