Cherry Blossom Farm is a vintage farmhouse in a storybook-like setting, located just two miles south of the Village of Suttons Bay. It is beautiful and a perfect landing spot for those staying in the Leelanau Peninsula area.

With five bedrooms and two bathrooms, the home welcomes up to 12 guests. There is one bedroom on the main level, and an enclosed porch set up for relaxing and sleeping with a queen sofa bed. The remaining four bedrooms are on the second floor. Step outside and enjoy the trees, grassy lawn, fire pit, and patio with outdoor table and chairs.

Traverse City is 15 miles to the south, Leland is 10 miles to the northwest, and Northport is 12 miles to the north. Each charming town has access to water and offers something exciting for every visitor. Public beaches are located about 2 miles from the house in the village of Sutton's Bay. Enjoy festivals, farmers' markets, live music, art fairs, sightseeing, bird watching, hiking, biking, and lots of good eats here.

Your well-mannered dog is welcome. (Maximum two dogs.) Please clean up after all furry visitors.

Our stay at Cherry Blossom was wonderful! Just a minute down the road from the wedding venue (Black Star Farms) and nearby downtown Suttons Bay. The house was clean, the bedrooms were perfect, and the home was spacious! Would definitely rent again!

The home well accommodated our family - we had 9 adults and 6 children, age 4 and under and every family has their own space for privacy and the enclosed porch, dining room and common areas were great for family visiting and activities. We utilized the fire pit most nights.

Cherry Blossum Review

Cherry Blossom in Suttons Bay was a great place to stay for our group. The five bedrooms gave everyone enough space, and we enjoyed using the firepit and outdoor area in the evenings. The location made it easy to explore Leelanau County, with quick access to local towns, beaches, and wineries. It was a comfortable and convenient home base for our trip.

Farmhouse stay - meh stay

This old farmhouse suited our basic needs, but nothing special. This is definitely a rental that could use some outfitting. Beach equipment- there are 2 chairs & 1 toy boat only (no coolers, towels, sand toys, pool noodles, etc). Fire pit - we bought and left a lighter there for it (no wood, marshmallow sticks, kindling). Entertainment - there is a TV, 1 corn hole set & dart board (minimal games & books, no outdoor balls, etc.). Bedding - need extra blankets, pillows & throws. The book - I love a good house book - this house book is generic, must be the same one in each rental. It wasn’t specific to this house. The house is surrounded by a cherry orchard - but there is nothing in the house or outside denoting the property bounds - so can you pick cherries or walk the orchard? One night sitting out by the fire suddenly there was a tractor spraying the trees about 30ft away. The house itself is old, but I expected that. This is not an accessible house, just an FYI - there are 3 steps into the house. Although 1 bedroom & bathroom are on the 1st floor. The stairs to the 2nd floor were steep & narrow - keep in mind if your group has little kids or older people (my 19yr old fell down the stairs the 1st night)

Suttons Bay Wedding

The Cherry Blossom was a nice place to stay... there were a couple of things that would make it even more appealing... the stairs going up to the 4 bedrooms upstairs are very steep and narrow... I am an older person and the bed on the main level was so high I had to use a chair to hoist myself into bed... and the thought of taking the garbage can to the road on the steep driveway was concerning... thank goodness my son was there to do it... however, there was plenty of room for us to socialize...

Great Stay!

We had such a wonderful stay! Was not a big deal to us, but just a heads up that the stairs to the 2nd floor are steep and have a curve to them, almost like a carpeted ladder. We loved the accommodations and our large family was comfortable!!

Perfect size for our 2 families if 4 each

The house was centrally located to all the areas we wanted to enjoy. The house had plenty of space for all of us and the back patio was very relaxing and enjoyable. We were able to eat all our dinners out there. Kitchen was fully stocked and we had no issues with making meals there.

Very comfortable

House is very clean and accommodating. It was fun to stay at a farm house with a cherry orchard! The kitchen was nicely supplied. The road is a little bit noisy but everything else was so nice it made up for it!

Changes Should Be Made

The floor tile in the upstairs bathroom really should be replaced. So many cracks and missing grout. Also the water pressure in the entire house is poor. The shower heads in both bathrooms should be replaced. Extra blankets should be included in each bedroom. Additional dressers in some bedrooms would be nice as well. Rose Fagan

Family Vacay

Property could use a little TLC, such as thorough cleaning and updates. Double stack oven in garage is a plus, but did not function properly. Many fixtures did not have light bulbs and full garbage receptacles were left at the road. Property is spacious, but is located directly off M22.

Cherry Blossom June 2023 Family Reunion

Nice property in close proximity to Lake Leelanau and TVC. Clean, quaint and quiet. Plenty of room for all 9 of us. Some things need tending to. 1. Safety: Needs a marker, monument or mailbox (painted yellow!) along S. West Bay Shore Dr. to identify the driveway. Very difficult to see, especially at night, and no sweep to driveway (90-degree) off 55 MPH highway. 2. Water Heater: Needs replacing. Sounds like a poltergeist, due to scale buildup. Presume water softener not working correctly, or, water heater is at end-of-life. 3. Electric outlet near toaster overloaded and tripped breaker when using both sides of toaster and coffee pot simultaneously; had to re-set the breaker. 4. Trash was not taken out upon our arrival. Good thing two trash carts were provided.
