Infinity at Surf Beach
About the home
âInfinity at Surf Beachâ is a delightful single-storey family home in Surf Beach just four doors from the beach, a short walk from the Surf Beach shops and a 5 minute drive to the supermarkets, restaurants & cafĂ©s of Cowes and San Remo.
The house is beautifully designed and has been styled to complement the 70âs open plan aesthetic, with vintage finds and a mixture of eclectic and up cycled items, with full consideration to comfort. The property has been set up as environmentally friendly as possible; there are a number of solar panels, most of the electrical appliances are brand new, and were chosen to minimise environmental impact. Even the coffee machine is a choice of drip filter, espresso machine or French press to ensure the environment is considered, without compromise of taste. The home is fitted with fibre to the premises internet to provide the best WiFi connection possible.
Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
A central hallway steps down to the Living Room (with smart TV, coonara-style wood heater) which flows through to the open plan Kitchen/Dining Room that in turn leads to a Laundry (with washing machine). The hallway also provides access to all three Bedrooms (each with BIR) and a Bathroom (with a shower over bath & a toilet).
At the home there are also family games of quoits, bocce, giant dominoes and various board games and jigsaws, books and magazines, drawing paper and pencils, yoga mats, and blocks and dice.
Outdoor Areas
The coastal garden is stunningly landscaped, no pesticides used and mixed planting with full consideration of the coastal environment. There is a herb garden, and hot house with seasonal items which can be used - with due consideration of others by all guests. Extensive outdoor lighting has been added to the property, for lounging outside on the deck and in the garden on summer evenings. Numerous birds visit the property, as do rabbits. Wallabies and echidnas are usually seen on the road, and in the morning on the beach.
The large side Deck (with gas BBQ, seating for 8 people & an outdoor dog bed) overlooks the enclosed rear and side yard, which is perfect for children and pets alike. The yard features a firepit (no wood provided) and a hot/cold outdoor shower, and leads to the rear separate Games Room (with table tennis table and bar fridge). There are also beach cricket and assorted beach toys, boogie boards and fishing gear provided in the Games Room.
The driveway provides parking for 2 vehicles (cars and/or a boat) behind the side gate.
Just 350m away is the Surf Beach Community Park and Playground, with a slide, climbing wall, rope net climbing frame, rocker and bird nest swing. There is a free BBQ & shelter with table, community edible garden and water taps for both dogs and people.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, choice of drip filter, stovetop espresso maker & 2 plungers, toaster, sandwich press, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are two wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners; one each in the Living room and the other in Bedroom 3, a ceiling fan in Bedroom 1, plus two additional stand-alone heaters and one fan which can be used where required. There is a coonara-style wood heater in the Living Room (no wood provided)
Bedding Configuration
This home has 5 beds, accommodating up to 7 guests:
Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One set of Single bunks and one Single bed
Bedroom 3: One Double bed
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
