Newly renovated, canal/waterfront home with dock located in the central part of the island near the pier. Less than 4 minute walk to the beach and pier! Short bike ride or walk to downtown. View the intracoastal while enjoying the spacious dock, or the ocean from the front deck. Fish or crab from the dock, enjoy paddleboards on the canals, or simply relax in a hammock under the house. Watch the sunrise and sunset from the covered porches while listening to the ocean! This house has it all!

We also have paddleboards you can use in the canals, corn hole boards for the back yard, and bocce ball for the beach.

3 bedrooms (4 beds, sleeps 7), 2 full baths, and an outdoor shower.

The house has all the necessary kitchen supplies, along with beach towels, bath towels, all bed linens, blankets, soap, TP, and paper towels.

This house was extra clean and the host was very accommodating. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of cookware and utensils. We were able to doxk our small.boat at the dock and leave there the duration of our stay,which was super convenient. The queen bed wasnt the most comfortable but we were only there a few days so it wasnt terrible. You cant go wrong with this house!

Great Family Friendly Stay

The house was very charming and clean. The house had necessary kitchen items, beach needs, and was very comfortable. The dock on the canal provided great entertainment for teenage boys. The yard was immaculate and we loved staying in this spot.

This home had everything we needed. Just a short walk to the beach and a relaxing property when the little ones needed to leave the strand for nap. Highly recommend!!!

Perfect Place

A group of us went down to run the Holden Beach Half Marathon and this house was perfect. Awesome view of the waterway and right across from the public beach access. The owner is very quick to respond and we all enjoyed our stay!

Great stay

This house was great!! It was in a great location. They had everything we needed. I usually have to buy the little things like hand soap, dish soap and sponge to wash the dishes. I was impressed and very thankful Justin had it all there. We were right on the canal. My kids went fishing off the dock and had the best time. We didn’t take advantage of this, but there were paddle boards and corn hole boards we could have used. Nice touches Justin!! Thanks for having us!!

Amazing canal home at Holden Beach!

Everything about my family’s stay at “Once Upon a Tide” was PERFECT! To begin with, check-in and check out were both super easy with very clear instructions and great host communication. We enjoyed the property’s convenient location, with very short walks to the beach, Haley’s Ice Cream Shop and Holden Beach general store. We brought our boat down and loved having it tied to the dock for a easy outing as well as the fish cleaning station and fresh water access! The property is beautiful and clean inside and out with a fully equipped and updated kitchen! What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get and more! We have stayed in dozens of vacation rentals in the surrounding areas over the years and this property was hand downs my family’s favorite! We can’t wait for our next stay at “Once Upon a Tide”!

Exceeded our expectations

We have rented from others and for a while rented to others. This property and it's owners are top notch. The property is extremely clean, well appointed and decorated like a beach house should be. The owner was very considerate and very easy to work with. We will definitely visit again.

Quick Beach Trip

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was very clean, well decorated and in a good location to the beach. The host was very responsive and provided clear instructions for check-in and out. We would highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a beach getaway.
