Caractéristiques de propriété incroyables: spacieuse à l'étage de floorplan avec trois chambres et deux salles de bains et demi, cuisine complÚte et un grand séjour / salle à manger immense terrasse grillagée avec bain à remous et une chaßne stéréo. QUATRE plats téléviseurs écran HD dans toute la maison.

Au rez-de-chaussĂ©e, vous trouverez une autre demi-salle de bain, de nombreux rangements, une salle d’exercice, un bar complet avec rĂ©frigĂ©rateur et un grand salon avec canapĂ© et table de billard. L'extĂ©rieur est tout aussi magnifique avec une piscine intĂ©grĂ©e, un barbecue, une aire de pique-nique, des aires de dĂ©tente, un immense terrain surdimensionnĂ© avec de nombreuses places de stationnement pour vos vĂ©hicules et une remorque pour bateaux. La propriĂ©tĂ© a une plĂ©thore de cocotiers et autres plantes tropicales. Le canal dispose d'un quai en bĂ©ton de plus de 100 pieds de long. Lieu: Nous sommes Ă  seulement 30 minutes de Key West et Ă  20 minutes de Marathon. Monde tache cĂ©lĂšbre de plongĂ©e, Looe Marine Sanctuary Key, est Ă  seulement 20 minutes en bateau. Vacances et lieu de destination de mariage pour les Ă©toiles, Little Palm Island, est Ă  seulement 5 minutes en bateau. Paradise

We had been on the hunt for a solid property that we could bring our dog and our 24ft foot boat to. This property was everything we could have asked for and more. 1. The boat fit easily and there was more space if we needed it. The dock also has water and power. 2. The yard is fully fenced, including a second fence breaking up the front and back yard. There is also a gate to the dock that would prevent any dogs, or little ones, from going on the dock if you didn't want them there. The amount of shade you can find on this property is also unmatched. We have stayed many places in the keys and this was by far the easiest place to enjoy the outside. 3. The house itself is well equipped and the 3 bathrooms are a huge plus. The master bath is a little warm, but I put a fan in there and that helped a ton. We worked while we were here and we had no issues with the Wi-Fi. The downstairs area has plenty of space and we used mostly as a gym (we brought our travel treadmill and various other equipment). The large windows open on the side and provide a nice cross breeze. For the interested fishermen, plenty of freezer space and a 10lb ice maker were clutch. 4. Last but ABSOLUTLY NOT LEAST, Jose. He was an excellent host. Communicative, accommodating and welcoming. We are ready for next year!

Another amazing month 3 rd year in a row

Our stay at this VRBO was fantastic! The property is immaculate and beautifully decorated, offering a cozy yet modern feel. Spacious living areas with stunning views and comfortable bedrooms made for a perfect retreat. The outdoor space is a highlight, with a lovely patio and hot tub and pool for ultimate relaxation. The location is ideal, close to attractions yet in a peaceful neighborhood. The hosts were welcoming and attentive, ensuring a seamless experience. Highly recommend for an unforgettable getaway!

We had a wonderful time staying at Casa Gecko for the month of June. A big plus was having a fenced in yard for our dog. Easy canal access to the Flats and also to the Atlantic. We wished we could have stayed longer. Jose was friendly and easy to reach when we needed him. We will be back! We loved all the geckos.

Month in Lower Keys

Jose is an attentive host, easy to communicate with via text and quick to respond. We were in the Lower Keys for a month with our Lab and skiff. Really enjoyed the proximity to Marathon, Key West, and some fun eats right there near Big Pine, Little Torch and Cudjoe Key. His little oasis is lush with greenery and private which we used everyday. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked for cooking in. Easily could accommodate another couple. Thanks fo the hospitality, Jose🌮

Little Torxh

We had a great time at Jose's property. Enjoyed the hot tub, kayaks and sunset on the canal. Our dog was thrilled with the enclosed yard and pool, it was absolutely perfect for our needs. Close to restaurants and groceries and everything we needed. Neighborhood is quiet. Jose had everything we needed for a one month stay. He is especially responsive to all questions and inquiries responding almost immediately. Great stay.

The house is very comfortable and private which we loved. Jose, the owner, was highly responsive to everything we needed. When we requested parts for the kayaks he brought them quickly! A slight plumbing issue—-a plumber was there right away! We enjoyed our two month stay so much that we’ll be back next winter for three months!

Winter Vacation

Great Location with friendly neighbors. Large Driveway and yard thats all fenced in very nice if you have pets. The house is spacious, the kitchen had eveything you needed. Private pool, easy access to canal right from your backyard and only minutes to the neighborhood boat ramp. Jose was very attentive and quick to respond to any of our needs.

Greatest February weather maybe ever in the Keys!

My wife and I had a wonderful weather month and wonderful stay in February 2023. The property is everything advertised and it's location in a quiet neighborhood was just what we needed! The property is pup friendly and our girl Ellie enjoyed running the fenced yard and hanging with us by the pool. For our first extended stay in the Keys we picked the perfect spot!!

Perfect Keys Trip

We had a wonderful time staying here with family. This house had everything you could want. Pool, hot tub, pool table, great canal with easy access. It was the perfect location for fishing and lobster, Key West is close. Winn Dixie is only 7 minutes away. Very comfortable stay, I didn’t want to leave.

Fisherman’s heaven! Nature lovers paradise!

We were pleased to rent this property from Jose for 5 weeks. He was not only a host but very helpful by putting us on some amazing fish! We caught some once in a lifetime species on this trip! The dogs also had an amazing time. We caught stone crab and lobster right in the canal. We also seen several manatees and casa gecko 🩎 wouldn’t be casa gecko without some. This place is a nature lovers dream. Located near several “off the beaten path activities” we kept busy without spending allot of $$. We will be renting from Jose again!

We're already planning our next trip!

We had a great extended stay at Casa Gecko this fall! We brought our boat down with us and the dock worked perfectly! There was ample parking in the large fenced yard for the trailer, and the public boat ramp was super conveniently located right at the end of the road! The house was comfortable and cozy and the pool area and yard were fun places to hang out and relax. The downstairs game and bar area was a nice hang out space in the cool weather as well! The property manager, Jose, was very responsive and helpful with any questions! We really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again!

Wonderful get-away at Casa Gecko

We spent the month of May at Casa Gecko! Everything was just as pictured online! We spent a lot of time around the pool, which was fantastic! The hot tub on the deck in the evening was a good way to end the day. Jose is a fantastic host. He answered all of our questions within minutes! Communication with him was excellent. We rented a boat and utilized the dock while we were there and that was a lot of fun having access to the canal. The home also has two kayaks and two bicycles for your use, but we brought out own kayaks. I would definitely rent from Jose again on our next trip to the keys!

Casa gecko april 2021

We stayed in this comfortable property for a month. My husband fished and I painted on the great screened in porch. Although it was hot and humid, when isn’t it in the keys, the porch was always cool enough for an outdoor studio. Our dog liked it too. This is one of the most private properties we’ve stayed in. The pool is completely screened and maintained weekly. Jose, the property Mgr, responded immediately each of the few times we needed something. We would definitely stay at casa gecko again.

Quarantine perfect!

We booked this property in the midst of the pandemic and planned that if we couldn’t go anywhere, we could be very happy in the home. It was just what we needed! The home is older but had bikes, kayaks, a pool, and a hot tub. How can you go wrong? Luckily the quarantine was improving and most of the stores and restaurants welcomed visitors, so we enjoyed the best of both worlds! The home had everything we needed to enjoy a month-long stay with as many as 6 at one time. The outdoor area was perfect as a gathering spot with a lot of privacy. We were lucky to have perfect weather and even were visited by a manatee in the canal. If we had any questions we texted with Jose and he responded very quickly. We would absolutely rent here again!

Great Casa Gecko Getaway

Casa Gecko was the perfect secluded getaway we were looking for. It lives up to it's name with geckos and iguanas all around the yard. The lush landscape made us feel secluded, yet we were minutes from local restaurants, shops, & mini golf. Key West is a relaxing 30 minute drive across the Lower Keys. While the house is a bit dated in some areas, we really enjoyed our stay with the bright and cozy feel of the main living room. Coffee on the patio everyday was a must. The house was very clean in some areas but other parts were in need of a deep clean. The kitchen was well appointed and updated. The yard and pass-thru window downstairs gave us plenty of space to enjoy the holidays and time with our friends around the pool. We didn't utilize the dock but could imagine how great it would be to have a boat there. The house suffered a couple minor issues after arrival, but Jose responded quickly and had things fixed right away. His responsiveness was greatly appreciated.

Great location for being on the water

Having stayed here multiple times, we truly love the location and the amenities that are part of this great rental. We love to boat, fish, snorkel, and dive and I don’t know a better location for that. With the ocean, gulf, and all the backwater locations you can always find a good place to cast a line or get wet. We will be renting again soon!

Great location especially for nature lovers

The property is conveniently located for a variety of activities. If you enjoy a plethora of dining choices and night, Key West is an easy 25 mile drive away. One of the only miniature golf courses on the Keys is less than 5 minutes away by car. Winn-Dixie is the nearest grocery located on Big Pine Key and about a 6-7 minute drive away.If you are a nature lover , we spotted Key deer, turtles and a variety of birds walking or ambling, or flying right across the street from the house. Casa Gecko is appropriately named as you will no doubt spot several on the property while you are there. The hot tub located on the screened porch was most welcome in the evening, especially on the occasional cooler and breezy nights in February. The swimming pool is well maintained by a pool service weekly. Although it is not heated, it does get direct sun much of the day and the water heated nicely especially after several days of sun and 80+ degree days. The kitchen is well equipped with a variety of appliances some of which were unexpected like an air fryer. We found only 3 things lacking that we missed. They were : a measuring cup ( we went out and bought one for ourselves to take home), a small hand mixer or old- fashioned potato masher, and a 9 x 13 inch Pyrex baking dish. Otherwise , everything needed for meal preparation was readily available. The furniture is comfortable and there were plenty of linens and towels. Excess bedding was stored on the bedroom closet shelves or on the floor in plastic containers. Perhaps a blanket chest located under the blue painting in the hall leading to the bedrooms might avoid the necessity for taking up valuable closet space. The smallest bedroom lacked a chest of drawers resulting in a month's worth of socks , underwear, and miscellaneous iems needed to be stored on the two open nightstands or the shelf below each one. If the excess linen was removed from the closet , a small chest of drawers comparable to what was found in the other two bedrooms could easily fit inside that bedroom closet and still leave room for hanging garments. There is a wonderful dock in back of the property perfect for anchoring your small sport fishing boat should you wish to rent one or bring your own with easy access to launch your boat only a few yards away. This vacation home is pet friendly making it perfect for those who can not bear to part from their fur babies for a minimum of 28 days. I would rent again without hesitation.

Great house, peaceful location

The house was great, very comfortable and had everything I needed. The location is close to a lot of fun stuff (don’t miss the dolphin center in marathon!) and is still “out there” enough to be really peaceful and private. The owner, Jose, was super flexible and responsive to my questions. It was a great place. I would definitely rent it again.
