Sleeping up to five guests, the cottage features three bedrooms comprising one king, one single, and one twin bunk room, along with a family bathroom with shower over bath and an additional WC. Restored sympathetically to its original layout as it would have been in Stevensonâs day, the property retains traditional features while offering thoughtful modern comforts throughout.
At the heart of the home is a large traditional Shetland kitchen with dining table, complete with an Aga, dishwasher, and washer/dryerâperfect for relaxed meals after days spent exploring or watching puffins and seabirds on the cliffs. A cosy lounge provides a welcoming space to unwind, whether after coastal walks, sightseeing, or soaking in the ever-changing views.
Despite its wonderfully remote feel, the cottage is easily accessible by road, with on-site parking available. A car is recommended to explore the South Mainland and beyond, though airport bus services to Lerwick can be accessed approximately two miles away. Sumburgh Airport and the famous Jarlshof Prehistoric Settlement are both just a short drive, while Lerwick lies around 45 minutes to the north.
