Millhart Family Lodge & Rec Center is also available for daytime rentals, making it the ideal setting for birthday parties, team-building retreats, sports practices, church groups, and special events. With a spacious gym, game room, and tables and chairs for up to 75 people, it’s the perfect venue for fun-filled gatherings in a private, scenic location. SLEEPING SPACE:

Main floor: Bedroom with King bed, smart TV and pack-n-play. Full bath with tub/shower combo, accessible from the common area. Full size sleeper sofa (linens provided) in the living room. Additional counter, sink & mirror in the entry allows space for getting ready.

Lower-Level game room: Half bath with 2 twin size daybeds both with twin size trundles and a queen size murphy bed. Lower-level sleeps 6 people total. Let us know if advance if you plan to use the murphy bed, we will set it up for you.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the gym, game room, living space and designated outdoor spaces. There is another home on the property, please respect their privacy and do not play in their yard. Part of the building is a barn on the lower level with horses stalled in it. Those spaces are not for guest use, are not pictured in any of the indoor spaces and are locked. DO NOT attempt to enter the barn or any animal pens. The horse owners stop to care for their horses morning and evening, the horses have access to the pasture around the home.



The Neighborhood:

We are located 1 mile north of Sugarcreek off State Route 93, a 15-minute drive to the Berlin and Walnut Creek area, famous for Amish Country Shopping, but out of the high congestion area with fast access to Dover and New Philadelphia. Multiple breweries and wineries are less than 15-minute drive.

Norma Johnson Center and Dundee Falls are both great family hiking location less than 10-minute drive from us.

Millhart Family Lodge is located just 2 miles from downtown Sugarcreek with multiple dining options including Bags Restaurant & Park Street Pizza (delivery available) plus the World’s Largest Cuckoo Clock! See the German figurines play every 30 minutes (weather permitting).

In town for a wedding at one of our local venues in Sugarcreek, Millersburg, Dover or New Philadelphia? We are a 15-30 minute drive from many venues, let us know which one you are attending and we can give you mileage and time to that location.

We share a google map of local suggested attractions, activities and dining with our guests but are available to help with your unique plans. Just let us know what you are looking for!

Looking for a company to provide your transportation around the area? Contact Beer & Ale Traveler in advance! Rick Mason provides a 14-passenger bus for any type of touring in the area.



Other Things to Note:

All guests will be asked to sign a liability waiver upon check-in. Guests will be required to complete an ID Verification to secure the reservation (Air BnB excluded).

Nightly rate listed includes up to 6 guests, each additional guest is $35/per person per night (includes anyone over 2 years old). Enter the exact dates and correct number of guests for an accurate cost on your stay. Additional unregistered guests will incur fees of up to $500 unless it was approved in advance.

We utilize a security system with automatic smoke & carbon monoxide detectors for your safety.

2 exterior Security cameras with audio monitor and record activity in the parking area and driveway/pool area.

Small well-trained dogs are permitted with advance notice and permission. Pet fee of $150/dog, per stay. Limited to 2 dogs that already know each other. Dogs must be leashed outside.

The lower level of the building houses horses; caretakers are there morning and evening to care for them. Do not attempt to enter the barn, security cameras are used to monitor this space.



Interaction with Guests:

We are not on the premises, but the host and homeowners are available and nearby if needed.
