Downhill Den, Easy walk to the Gondola with mountain views!

Downhill Den is a beautiful updated condo nestled at the base of Mt. Werner, walking distance to the gondola, in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. There is plenty of room for your family with 2 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large living space with sweeping views of the Yampa Valley. This condo is ideal for families, couples or friends looking to truly get away in a serene mountain setting.

Located at The Lodge at Steamboat, this property is updated, spacious and inviting! Plan to relax in the living area by the gas fireplace and enjoy the views of the Yampa Valley through the large picture windows. There is ample seating at the dining table plus the 4 seats at the breakfast bar allow those to oversee the happenings in the kitchen. The condo has granite throughout and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. A quiet balcony can be accessed from the living room or primary bedroom to enjoy your morning coffee and breath in some fresh mountain air. The primary bedroom in this property has a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed plus a twin over full bunk bed. You also have access to a stackable washer and dryer in the unit as well. New wood flooring and carpet was completed in Fall 2021.

Downhill Den is located only 200 yards to the gondola and has wonderful property amenities such as 4 outdoor hot tubs, one indoor tub located next to the condo and a heated outdoor pool (closed off seasons) along with ski locker just outside your front door. It also has a winter only on call shuttle. Guests have full access to the condo as well as property amenities. You can't go wrong staying at this cozy spot!

**1 Vehicle parking allowed during busy ski season - no RV's or Trailers allowed. Parking is unassigned in the surface lot.**

Four Seasons Steamboat manages this vacation rental home in Steamboat on behalf of the owners. Four Seasons Steamboat is a locally owned and operated property management company. We are here in Steamboat Springs to solve any issue that might arise or answer questions you might have. We follow all local rules and state laws regarding taxes, occupancy and any other nightly rental restrictions.

Each of our vacation rental homes is stocked with what you need to enjoy your Steamboat Springs vacation; towels, linens, bathroom products, trash bags, dish and dishwasher soap, tissues, etc


You will be required to electronically sign our booking contract to finalize your reservation. Your reservation total includes all applicable state and local taxes, Accidental Property Damage Protection for $1,500 and a cleaning fee.

Cancellation Policy:
Non-holiday reservations: Reservations cancelled at least 30 days before arrival day will be refunded 100%. Reservations cancelled 29 or fewer days before arrival date will be refunded whatever amount we can re-book with a new guest. If unable to re-book with a new guest, the entire reservation will be forfeited.

Holiday reservations (the week of Christmas and the week after Christmas): Reservations cancelled at least 45 days before the start of your stay will be refunded 100%. Reservations cancelled 44 or fewer days before arrival date will be refunded whatever amount we can re-book with a new guest. If unable to re-book with a new guest, the entire reservation will be forfeited.

Is there a cancellation fee? You can cancel any reservation for free up to 48 hours after booking. After 48 hours we charge a $100 administrative fee for cancelling a reservation more than 30 days from arrival date (45 for holiday reservations).

We encourage you to buy our Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) insurance to ensure you won't lose any money due to circumstances out of your control.

Conveniently located

The property is well maintained and stocked. Great fireplace and nice leaher furnature in the living room. Great location with only a short walk to the lifts and several restaurants.

Very pleasant stay

Our timing was great considering the much-needed 27" dumping that happened the day we arrived. The location of the unit was great - very walkable to Gondola Square and various restaurants/shops and a frequent and convenient shuttle was also available to the slopes and town (though we didn't take the town shuttle). The unit had a nice-sized living area, plenty of linens, and a well-stocked kitchen. The in-unit laundry was also a great feature. The only thing I'd like to see changed would be a remodel of the primary bedroom's ensuite bath. The shower head was eye-level (I'm 6' tall) and - being extra nit-picky - I prefer an elongated toilet/seat, though the space may be too tight for that. Great and helpful communication from the property manager and overall, it was a great place to stay for our family of four.

What an excellent place with a great location. Short walk to the gondola/base area. Plenty of room for our family of four. Great amenities with games, dish, play station, and TV subscriptions to watch movies and shows. The furniture and beds are quite comfy. Overall it was a great time in Steamboat.

Great Location and a Great Space

We all really enjoyed our stay at the condo. It was right across from the bluegrass festival that we attended and walking distance to the ski resort. Having shuttle service anywhere was such a convenience (and the shuttle driver was so nice!). The condo was nicely decorated and very comfortable. It was plenty of room for the four of us, and we all really enjoyed our stay there. The communication was also great and checking in was very easy. I would definitely recommend!

Beautiful stay in well appointed space

Great property, well appointed and in great location with easy walking access to parking, pool, hot tubs and gondola. There was a little street noise with windows open (we stayed in the summer) in the master bedroom but the unit temp was perfect and the space cozy and well laid out with the second bath and bedroom perfect for teens and tweens that don’t want to share a bed. The folks in the check in process were the nicest you will ever find: super easy and accommodating. Wonderful unit - highly recommend!

We loved Downhill Den! The location was perfect
close to the gondola, the little grocery/restaurant/liquor store, the Wild Plum and Christie’s for ski rental. We’ll surely come back and would love to stay there again!

great place for our family

This is a great condo for our family of four, and more could easily fit. The pool and hot tub were open, much to our happiness, and the reservation system worked pretty well (though you really have to be on it, limited capacity.) Not hard to walk to the slopes, even for our 6 yo.

Overall this condo was pretty nice. The beds could use updating and they weren’t very comfortable. Also, it would have been nice for the property or the owner to outline the covid 19 protocol for the hot tub. You have to make a 30 min reservation for the hot tubs and most of the time they were already reserved prior to us having an opportunity to use it. Just would have been nice to know this in advance. Over all it was nice and close to the slopes.
