This two-story home at Bear Creek Lodge is a dog-friendly, three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom retreat offering over 1,800 square feet of living space. There's plenty of room for your entire family to relax while on vacation in Steamboat Springs!

The main floor has a bright, open feel, flowing from the kitchen to the dining area to the living room with a river rock gas fireplace. The kitchen has plenty of space to prepare a family meal, as well as additional seating at the bar and the dining table for eight if you're entertaining friends during your stay. The main living room has ample seating around the fireplace and a flatscreen TV with Xfinity cable and a Blu-ray/DVD player.

The well-appointed bedrooms are located on the second floor. The main bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a combined shower and jetted tub. There's a shared full bathroom off the hallway for the other two bedrooms, a full-size washer/dryer in the laundry room, and a half-bath on the main floor for guests.

The home has an attached, heated, two-car garage, so you don’t have to worry about clearing the snow off your car when the snow piles up outside in the winter. There's also plenty of room to store your skis, snowboards, bicycles, kayaks, tubes, and related gear when you get back from the mountain or river. Enjoy two porches, an upstairs balcony, and a spacious yard with views of the mountain and shade from large, mature trees. It's not uncommon to see wildlife resting in this area when the snow gets deep on the nearby mountain.

When you're ready to hit the slopes in winter or hike and mountain bike come summer, you'll find a shuttle stop located half a block away. The free city shuttle stops every 20 minutes, taking you back and forth between Steamboat Ski Resort, downtown Steamboat, and the house. The base of the ski resort - with dining, music, and fun-filled activities - is within a quick walk. The home is also steps away from the trail system that connects to the river path into downtown. Whistler Park is a few minutes away on foot, offering a playground, an off-leash area for Fido, and a stretch of the Yampa River with scenic trails.

Dog friendly, clean property

This property was very clean for being dog friendly. It is a townhome/duplex and the next door neighbor is very nice! We saw a lot of wildlife - 2 bears, a fox and a moose - so just be mindful of your pets. There is a great hiking trail to a pond about a block from the house. Some items to note:- front door code is VERY long, 10 digits. Would be nice if it was shorter and easier to memorize- each room has 2 pillows to sleep and 2 decorative pillows. For us, we like more pillows so would have brought extra - lots of towels! So nice to rent somewhere without a towel shortage - grill was dirty and small and electric, was not worth cooking on in our opinion - this location is close to the bus stop but you stop at a lot of condo properties, it’s worth the 8 min walk to shorten the bus time- less than 1 mile to Wild Plum - BEC sandwich is so good - this location is not easily walkable to the mountain in the summer but it is doable Definitely would rent again because we love to travel with our pup!!

Vacasa failure

Vacasa failed to change the dates of my reservation as promised, left me with a scramble to find a last-minute (and more expensive) property. They said they would find me a new place, discount, etc. But they were very slow responding each time and were no help. They did refund my payment, but I lost the insurance money and had to pay a lot more for the last-minute booking.

Wonderful property

Stayed here for Thanksgiving weekend. Wonderful quiet neighborhood that is easy to walk around or go to nearby park. Easy walk to the bus route if you don't want to drive downtown or the ski area. Unit is well layed out for a family and relaxing stay

Great Steamboat Getaway

Great property for a week long summer stay. Very comfortable for our group - plenty of space both in the townhouse and great garage space as well for bikes, etc. Good location - especially for the winter - but easy to walk/bike around the neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again!

New Year’s Ski Trip

This is a nice duplex property with plenty of room for the family. There are three bedrooms plus a pull out bed under the master bed which we didn’t use. The home is on the shuttle route to the ski base or about an eight minute drive. The kitchen is well supplied with cutlery pots and pans and dishes. We would’ve been able to clean the home a little bit more as we went along if more cleaning products would have been supplied; there are lots of TV options and the Internet worked great. It’s not common in Steamboat to have access to a double garage, which was great for loading and keeping our vehicle inside particularly given the snowfall over our visit. Having access to the pin number for the garage door would’ve avoided needing to walk in through the house to open the garage every time we came back from skiing. I do think that the owner needs to arrange snow removal for the driveway. We were fortunate to get a lot of snow while we were in Steamboat, the downside being that one of our group spent about three hours over four days shoveling the driveway. The street plows tend to leave a 3 foot pile of heavy snow, blocking the end of the driveway daily if you get a lot of snow, which needs to be cleared in order to leave the property in the morning. We were visiting over the New Year’s week, and therefore understand that that’s a premium time, that being said, I think the bathrooms and the mattresses could stand an upgrade at this price point. The check-in process was great and overall visit was very successful.

Trip to steamboat

Pros- very nice condo, heated garage, well-stocked kitchen, great fireplace with blower, quiet location Cons - property mgmt co. has no clue what is available in the kitchen, I asked and was told there wasn’t much there. I brought a bunch of cooking items, didn’t need to, the kitchen was really well stocked. The jet tub wasn’t usable, black flecks came out when the jets were turned on. This was reported twice to the property mgmt firm with no resolution. Several window blinds were broken, which was reported, but no resolution. The condo is great, but property mgmt needs improvement.

Wonderful Stay!

My fiance, our dog Peanut, and I all loved staying here. It was so spacious, extremely clean, comfortable, and close to the ski resort. The amenities were great as well. It was so nice to have the grill, a fireplace, the balcony off of the master bedroom, a fully stocked kitchen with pots/pans/dishes/etc and a washer and dryer. My personal favorite part was the fireplace. It was so relaxing and wonderful to have, especially while drinking coffee in the mornings. We would 100% stay here again in the future. My fiance and I loved the fox decor that was located throughout the house. We looked for a fox item to contribute to the house, but we did not find any fox decorations while shopping in Steamboat. :( Overall, we highly recommend booking this place for a stay in Steamboat Springs!

All the amenities you need

This property was clean. It is located within a walk of a small park (perfect for dogs and kids to run around). And we did several long road bike rides that started from the house. Nice location, but just enough outside the busy downtown area that it doesn't feel "crowded".

Nice home & Solid experience

The stay has everything you would expect from a great rental home and the place is very spacious. They are pet-friendly which is great because pet-friendly stays tend to be difficult to find. On the downside the backyard isn't fenced so if you have an outside dog like ours I would recommend packing a long lead and supervising your dog. Overall, it was a great experience. Make sure you bring bug spray because there are a whole lot of mosquitoes.

Great place to rent!

This is the second year we have stayed at the Bear Creek Town home for the week of July 4th. Its in the perfect location for all the activities we enjoy. The property is very clean and the check- in is hassle free. We plan to stay there again in the future!

Mountain Biking Get Away

Great stay for a group of friends in town to mountain bike. Great neighborhood for walking the dogs. Neighbors were friendly. Because of Covid we cooked all our meals at home and had everything we needed. Having access to a garage was great for our bikes.

Great place to stay in Steamboat

We had an awesome time. Any issue was quickly addressed by Brad. I would recommend this place to a family group as we had room for 5 people and a baby. The only real issue was that the driveway was very icy.
