Severe Misrepresentation
The property is located in a scary neighborhood with broken cars and buildings all around. No comfortable place to park, especially if you have a minivan.
When we came inside we were shocked by the property conditionâquite old, very dirty with dead cockroaches in the kitchen cabinets (we planned to cook, but it disgusted us), very hot (AC didnât work to cool enough), broken mirrors, broken closet door with mirror (that almost fell when attempted to open it), what appeared to look like blood stains on doors and bathroom, tiny rooms as opposite to the photos, where they looked much bigger. With pregnant woman, two children and all other people in our group we couldnât stay in this property. It was unsafe and unhealthy for us. We left within a half hour of our arrival and had to find a new place where we could stay, which was very stressful and expensive!
We contacted the owner and explained the situation, asking for a refund based on the misrepresentation we encountered. He said âdo it through the website,â while it is the ownerâs responsibility to initiate the refund in such case and we canât do anything on our end. He never replied to our and managersâ emails, voice messages, text messages, and phone calls after that. He kept our money and didnât cancelled the reservation that we made for 8 days. We didnât stay there a single night, not even an hour! What a waste of money, nerves, and what a horrible experience with Johnatan. If we could post photos here, you would be shocked as we were. The condition of the property was nothing like on the photos and what we paid for based on the photos posted on VRBO.
