Villa 1898 also nicknamed "Ghost” is a gorgeous newly renovated home located in one of the very best locations within the historic downtown district of St. Augustine. Its location on "Saint Andrews Court" is a hidden gem/hideaway, still a well kept secret, in the heart of downtown within the historic oldest city gates
 impeccably kept, private, yet in the heart and walking distance to all that the oldest city has to offer.

The 1898 Villa “Ghost” has the original architectural details, quality and classic workmanship from the period in which it was built. No expense was spared in renovating the interior which boasts a modern yet timeless fashion, even the art work and furnishings were selected with that early 1900s era in mind."

Villa 1898 “Ghost” is definitely catered to the discerning guest and is enhanced by owner’s attention to detail when equipping the home. You will notice subtleties such as noise makers and dimmable night lights throughout, high end furnishings, outdoor floor fans to make outdoor seating more enjoyable, natural essential oils have been used for mosquito repellant outdoors, umbrellas available for guests who love walking in the rain as much as the owner does, landscaping is meticulous
 owner keeps the paint consistently retouched, and even a nite light exterior installation to add to the charm in the evenings
 this home is a secret treasure for guests to enjoy!

We had an amazing stay at the Villa 1898. It was beautifully decorated clean and so accommodating. Not to mention conveniently located to everything. We backed my Yukon in their driveway without a problem! It was tight but definitely doable. We never drove until we checked out. We were able to walk everywhere and do everything on foot. I highly recommend this stay for anybody looking to explore St. Augustine. It’s right in the heart of all the fun things!

Beautiful house, excellent location

Absolutely loved our stay here. The home is beautiful, clean and a perfect size foral a couple, small girls trip or, like ours, mother-daughter trip. Very clean, updated. Owner communicates well, responds to questions quickly. Location is absolutely perfect! Probably the quietest street in St Augustine, but literally across the street from historical district and a casual 3 minute walk to the bay. We only used the car once during our stay when we went to the beach. Do be aware the street is very narrow. A large car or suv would be challenging. Also be aware second bathroom is downstairs while both bedrooms are upstairs. Not an issue for us, but something that might be good to know. So glad we found this home on Vrbo; we will definitely return here next time we're in St Augustine.

Beautiful house in a great location. House located on a safe and quiet small end road. Was able to walk everywhere downtown and did not need to use our car even once. Which was great because as others have said, parking a larger vehicle can be tricky. Luckily the neighbor across from the property is very friendly and even assisted us in backing out. Appreciate the great communication from the owner’s and they always responded promptly.

Ghost House Adventure

‘Ghost House’ exceeded our expectations!The house has been beautifully restored, with amazing attention to detail. We loved hanging out on the front porch. The house is close to the historic district, restaurants and art galleries. We pulled into the carport and didn’t drive again until we left for home. We Will definitely stay here again, if we ever get to return to St. Augustine. Also, the owners are so kind and attentive. They checked on us, gave restaurant and activity recommendations. Beautifully decorated and elegant. Great location for exploring old town on foot. As the owner noted, the parking is a tight squeeze, but what a value to park there. Comfortable and convenient- would stay there again and highly recommend!

The house was very clean and comfortable. The location to the historic district was perfect since driving and parking can be difficult. The only difficulty we had was the driveway was very tight to get into with a minivan.

Charming historic home right in the middle of historic district

A very charming and tastefully updated 2 story home right in the heart of the historic district of St Augustine. A two minute walk to the action of St George’s Street. The bathrooms and kitchen are nicely updated yet maintain a classic and historic feel. Two porches facing the street are a nice bonus. It’s hard not to think about what life was like there 100 years ago. Since it’s not a thru street there is zero traffic here unlike every other street in town. Stayed for the holiday Nights of Lights celebrations - and while the town was extremely busy the proximity to restaurants/shopping and back to the house, if need be, was super quick and easy. Would recommend for a family wanting to explore the great city of St Aug from a convenient home base.
