Summary:

Urban Oasis is a beautifully restored early 1900's private home with a tasteful blend of historic and modern touches. Two queen bedrooms, two full bathrooms, huge back patio / lounge area and 2 coveted off-street parking spots. The home is a short walk or trolley ride into the Historic District and has plenty of amazing restaurants, bars and activities within easy walking distance.



The Space:

Welcome to the Urban Oasis! This freshly renovated space has everything you need to enjoy your time in the Oldest City. The home has 2 queen bedrooms with memory foam mattresses and 2 full bathrooms on the lower level. The upstairs includes a private, open queen bedroom and half bathroom. The living room has a flatscreen TV with a Roku streaming system. A spacious sofa with queen pullout sleeper accommodates 2 additional guests. The huge back patio with lounge area, outdoor table and electric grill make this the perfect home for relaxing after a long day exploring the city.



Guest Access:

Guest will have private access to the entire home, private porch, and 2 off-street parking spaces.

St. Augustine is the nation’s most historic city and also holds the distinction of being one of the most charming. Experience flavorful dining, art and culture with an abundance of entertainment right on your doorstep.



Sun, fun, history, and mystery —From the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument to the Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum and everything in between there is something for everyone and all just a few minutes from the flat.



The home is located right in the heart of Uptown St Augustine just a few minutes’ walk from the main street known for boutique shops, art galleries, antique stores, as well as local eateries from pizza to fine dining — such as the beautiful Raintree Restaurant (a 3 minute walk away) and the delicious Luli’s cupcakes (5 min walk).



Head south along San Marco Ave where you will find all sorts of innovative food and drink options, cool indie shops selling everything from furniture to flowers, books, ice cream, cupcakes, art and then wind up in the downtown Historic District (20 min walk) which is a whole other adventure.



Those who appreciate architecture from the 1800s to the 1920s will want to walk through a number of small neighborhoods listed on the National Register of Historic Places. These include the Abbott Tract Historic District, Matanzas Bay, Pine, San Marco, Shenandoah Aves and the Nelmar Terrace Historic District.



Jump aboard the Trolley to see the city, or hire a bike and take your time soaking up each neighborhood, museum and monument.



Getting Around:

The home has two designated off-street parking spots to leave your car(s). If you're bringing more than two vehicles, there is free street parking in front of the property and along the entire street (Old Mission Ave). The city is very walkable and we also have Uber or Lyft. There is a trolley stop at the end of the street.

The home was beautiful and welcoming. A little odd on the layout, but still very comfortable and well accommodated. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful when needed. We really enjoyed our stay. And the location was perfect! We barely used the car we rented because we could walk everywhere easily. And there was even a little fest going on at the community theater a couple doors down! Loved it!!

Any questions I had were answered right away. House was very clean. The Historic part of St. Augustine was a 15 min walk with shops on the way. Beautiful place. We had a great time for our 35 wedding anniversary.

Nights of Lights

My wife and I stayed for the entire month of January, 2025. Everything was super. We were short a few cooking items, but I assume most guests are staying for shorter periods and eating out more often than we do. However, Danny was just super and had the missing items delivered to our door that evening. All major tourist attractions are within easy walking distance, less than a mile. I would definitely recommend this VRBO listing to everyone. Parking behind the house for two or three cars is a real plus. It was very quiet and we felt extremely safe. The “Nights of Lights” displays in St. Augustine were just beautiful.

Overall enjoyable stay

We enjoyed our stay. We visited Castillo de San Marcos and the Lincolnville museum. We also went to a nearby beach. I would recommended emailing the security details to enter the house at check-in time, so that the guest does not have to ask for them. Also I suggest putting a TV in the 2 bedrooms on the first floor. Overall it is a beautiful property in a quiet neighborhood. We had a wonderful time.

A real Urban Oasis

The Urban Oasis is a great property. It’s close to everything and absolutely served as an oasis every evening. We had 2 60+ senior adults, 2 mid 30s adults and a 9 year old and we all loved the house and everything it offers. Would love to stay here again!

Old Town Convenience

This property was very well maintained and was so convenient for a stay in the downtown area of St. Augustine. Very private accommodations with secluded parking area that was super great considering other properties locations and availability to park your vehicle(s). Another PLUS was it is only a 5 minute walk to one of St. Augustine's best restaurants, Raintree. We enjoyed two visits there and was very pleased both times. Our visit included attending the TPC Tournament in Ponte Vedra and the event was an easy 30 minute drive to get there via AIA, allowed us to view the beachline along the way. A well furnished, clean and private setting, this property is a must for those looking for same while visiting St. Augustine.

Nice Property Good Location

This property is exactly as shown - clean, nicely decorated and stocked. It's in a good location (safe) with a 15-20 minute walk to the historic area with many great restaurants and shops. Only complaint was owner sent a link for information which didn't work. I notified him and asked for an emailed copy which he said to do but it was never received. Our flight came in early morning and I asked for an early check in as the avail calendar showed no one was there for the days prior. I was denied early access but was asked to notify them if we left early the last day in order to expedite cleaning. Most owners accommodate these requests esp if no one was renting!

Great home away from home

This is a beautifully renovated property and the host (Daniel) couldn’t be more accommodating. It was immaculately clean when we arrived and the off street parking is a real plus. Nice outdoor living space and close to Old Town. Very quiet for being so close to the tourist center.

Great Stay

Cut place to stay while visiting St Augustine. We were only an 8 minute drive to the beach and about 15 minute beautiful and easy walk to St George street with lots to do in the area. Would definitely stay here again for my next visit.

Preston’s location

We did not need to use the car much at all. You can walk to the trolley station so quick is so enjoyable. The property management was so sweet and nice. The house is so peaceful we had an amazing rest. Very safe area and only 9 mins away from things outside of historic district like a Walmart or things like that. Highly recommended.

Comfortable house in a great location!

Our family stayed here for the nights of lights in late January. It was very quiet and in a great location. We enjoyed sitting on the covered deck at night and we had our own private parking spaces. The beds were comfortable and the house was just what we needed for our time there! Owners were very helpful with check in and out info, as well as suggestions of near by places to go and to eat.
