This is a tremendous property that I’ll definitely rent again in the future. Spotless clean, bright open spaces, beautiful ocean view through large windows, large kitchen with very nice appliances. The bedrooms (4) are lovely and comfortable and the master suite has an ocean view, walk-in shower and a balcony outside facing the ocean. The roof top is large and open for seating in the sun with a great 360 degree view. The elevator is a wonderful feature to this property making all floors accessible. There is a lot of thought that went into decorating this property and there are “surprise and delights “ throughout. The property manager, Luann, is very friendly, helpful and responds to calls/notes quickly. The location is outstanding, putting you close to grocery shopping, numerous restaurants, and the old city. This is a 10 out of 10 property and I highly recommend it.

Stayed at the Purple Shark for 2 weeks. Wonderful house, pictures don't do it justice. Very whimsical and creative art and light fixtures. Beds very comfortable. Rooftop cornhole at sunset was a fun time. Magnificent views with spectacular sunrises. Good communication with host. Would certainly stay here again.

This is an amazing house. The host was on the ball with her service. I got lots of exercise up and down 2-3 flights off stairs. My BIL was able to use the elevator d/t hip replacement 4 weeks ago. The home was stocked well in the kitchen to cook along with other needs through the home. We used all 4 bedrooms. The smallest BR sheets did not fit the bed well. They kept coming off during sleep. The roll up shade also did not work. A suggestion we have is not to have delicate glass chandeliers in the bathrooms and shower in the upstairs 2 onsuites. The beds were very comfortable. The views of the water, beach, & sun rises were awesome. Walking the beach every morning and night was such a joy and pleasure. I highly recommend staying at the Purple Shark. We would stay again when/if we come to the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your home.

Best vacation in a long time!

This property is amazing, so much more to it than the pictures depict. So close to stores and to downtown. We had an infant with us but if she was walking it might not have been as great as there is a lot for a toddler to get into. The beds were fantastic, but the master bedroom gets light with sunrise so if you want to sleep in past sunrise, bring a sleep mask. Watching the sunrise and sunset from the rooftop was unforgettable. And of course, being beach front made the commute to the beach and back to the house a breeze! Definitely would recommend this house! Oh, and there is a fourth bedroom.

Awesome family beach vacay!

The house was perfect for our family and the trip we planned. Location, location, location! Perfect location for beach days and going into St. Augustine for dinner and activities. The beach at the house was fantastic-soft sand, not shelly or covered in seaweed. The views are absolutely fabulous. As other reviewers said, there are actually 4 bedrooms, which worked our great for us. Also as others said, there are tons of coffee makers, so rest easy if you're a coffee lover. The balconies and roof are great, with plenty of seating. I recommend bringing eye masks if you're sleeping in the master because there are no black-out shades and the sun shines through very brightly in the morning. Also note that the elevator is locked, so if you need to use it, be sure to contact the property manager before your stay. Finally, there is no gas grill, but that's really the only thing missing. We brought our own charcoal grill, just in case (and there was another small charcoal grill already there).Loved the house and had a great time!

We absolutely loved the Purple Shark! The views are breathtaking, it was clean and well maintained. The host was very easy to communicate with and very quick to respond. There were beach chairs and umbrellas which was great. My only suggestion is supplying more than two beach towels. Great location and we will definitely rent again.

Lots of room in this multi-level purple house, interesting glass and other decorations. Clean, good beds, plenty of towels and linens. Expansive collection of coffee makers. . And of course the beach is steps away. Host responsive. Bring own bath soap.

Purple Shark rules!

Unbelievable decor in this beachfront beauty! The sunrises are spectacular. The beach is perfect. The house is spacious with four levels and lots of stairs. There are actually four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Everything works well, except the side door lock was finicky. The garage entry was easy. We did buy our own bar soap and coffee. Will definitely rent here again.

Great Location

Very modern, attractive multi level home right on the ocean; rooftop allowed for wonderful sunrise and sunset views. Updated kitchen with great appliances. Less than 3 miles from downtown St. Augustine. Two great restaurants to try; Fishcamp and Caps.

Purple shark stay

My wife and I found this house to be a very beautiful, upscale, well decorated home, with a very comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Fireplaces are a little deceiving because you have to provide your own ethanol gas in order to use them. Also, there is no jetted tub as advertised. We stayed seven nights at an all inclusive cost of 597 per night and the toilet paper provided is what you would find at a roadside rest stop, at best. No paper towels or Kleenex are provided. So bring your own quality toilet paper, paper towels, and Kleenex to make your stay more pleasurable.

Vilano beach

Nice stay on beach to see sunrise and felt out of way of crazy tourist stuff in historic downtown St. Augustine but close enough over bridge to go do the tourist stuff. Many stairs for 4 levels so if you’re ok with that you’re good. With that and all the glass decor maybe not the best for little kids. Otherwise nice and modern. Enjoyed stay.

Purple House

This house is so complicated with fancy stuff, even the property manager didn't know how things worked. Our friends arrived as we could not make the trip, on Thursday 9/5/2024. Master bedroom door was leaking after thunderstorm. Floor was wet. TV and Wi fi did not work. the property manager seemed to fix it but it went out 1.5 hours later and never worked again. The maintenance people came to fix the leaking door on Friday 9/6/2024. they ended up messing with the mattress which was an air filled one, lost air on one side. Had to move bedrooms. Coffee maker did not work in kitchen. Rain head in master shower did not work. no coffee supplies and no fireplace supplies. Was allowed to use elevator after asking for permission. Not a kid friendly home either. Very nice breakables in this residence. Don't know if previous persons who stayed in this home messed all this up. Property was not ready for our visit. Needed work done prior to our friends arriving.
