Summary:

A charming 3 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment located in the Uptown neighborhood of St. Augustine. Just a short walk to many attractions, bars, and restaurants.  Park your car and forget it as you wander the Oldest City!



The Space:

Say hello to Casa Maria! This recently renovated early 1900's multi-family home is full of historic charm and character with modern updates. Unit 3 is located on the second floor of the home and has it's own private entrance directly from the driveway. An electronic keypad is installed for easy self-check in at your convenience. 



As you enter the home, you are greeted with a welcoming living room with earthy and retro beachy atmosphere. A large, smart tv is loaded with Netflix for cozy nights in while binging your favorite show. From the living room, you'll walk into the galley kitchen which is fully equipped with the utensils, cookware, plates, and glasses for quick meals in. Various appliances are stocked including microwave, Keurig, and toaster. Bar top seating is available for everyone to enjoy their meals.



The apartment boasts 3 bedrooms. The first bedroom is completely private, set off from the front living room and holds a comfortable queen bed. In the back of the apartment are 2 additional bedrooms- one with full bed and sitting area with couch, perfect for a place to crash while reading your favorite book away from the rest of the group. The final, spacious bedroom holds a super cozy King bed with an attached full en-suite bathroom. Both full bathrooms have walk in showers and are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash allowing you to pack light to save room for all of those Old City souvenirs.



Enjoy a cup of coffee in the front porch as you take in the morning Florida sun or sip on your afternoon cocktail while the weather cools down for a beautiful night out. There are plenty of ways to relax at this quiet home!



The location of this home can't be beat! About a 5-10 minute walk to the Downtown Historic area and many top attractions such as Ripleys, Castillo de San Marcos, and more. A convenience store is just around the corner to stock up on drinks and snacks. Amazing places to eat and drink are also just a few minutes walk away from the home- Uptown Swinery, Sunday, Juniper, and more.

Sun, fun, history, and mystery —From the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument to the Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum and everything in between there is something for everyone and all just a few minutes’ walk from the cottage.



Enjoy walking around the beautiful historic area of the city with local cafes and restaurants in every direction. The house is just a few blocks from Castillo de San Marcos ("the Fort"), St. George Street, a 5 min walk to the bayfront and plenty of activities and attractions.



Getting Around:

With the great central location, guests can walk to the many shops, top restaurants, art galleries and attractions making it easy to get around on foot, but a car is helpful for quick rides to the beach, Anastasia Island, or main grocery store.



Guests can also use rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft or call a taxi with cars available at all times of the day.



The old Town Trolley Tours and a great fun way to see the city with a hop-on, hop-off trolley service that offers stops throughout St. Augustine. The trolley makes 23 stops at or near popular destinations and departs every 15 minutes between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and will set you back around $25 per adult and $10 for kids which includes three days of unlimited rides and complimentary admission to the St. Augustine History Museum.

3 Day Get-Away.

Our daughter and Son In-law were visiting from PA. He had never been to St. Augustine so we met there. Our grandson flew in from NM. and surprised us all. The house was perfect for the 5 of us. Check in was easy and it was clean, comfortable and within walking distance to many things. Our hosts, Danny and Andrea were great. Easy to contact and helpful. If we return, we would definitely consider staying here again.

Great location! The space was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful. Bathroom off of master bedroom was very small/cramped and difficult for the older adults in our party to use. Otherwise great stay.

Girls getaway

A few hours prior to our arrival I received a message that there was damage to the property we booked but Danny was upgrading us to another one of his properties. We couldn’t have had a better experience. The place was well kept and maintained. It was fully stocked with more than we needed and what we did need was available. We loved the privacy of the unit and especially the safety of off street parking. Danny checked on us several times but let us enjoy our getaway. We will definitely reach out to book with Danny on our next trip to St. Augustine.

Very convenient location and the beds were very comfortable. Listing says it sleeps 6 but there weren't enough towels for 5 people for 5 days. My biggest issue was the washclothes and towels were in open containers on the floor next to the toilet. Very unsanitary.

The location of the house is very close to downtown, off of the Main Street so nice and quiet. Well kept home. Worked great for our annual Christmas trip to St Augustine with friends. Definitely booking again next year!!

Not what you would expect from the photos and unhelpful host

I was very disappointed in my stay here. First off, there was a hurricane that hit the area 2 days before my stay. I was worried about not being able to get to the property and the host danced around all of my questions, I felt very unaccommodated. When I finally did arrive, there were numerous things that frustrated me. First off, the master bedroom can only be accessed by going through another bedroom, this is not disclosed in the listing and privacy is reduced because of this. All of the pots and pans were filled with roach feces, I had to thoroughly wash before using. A doorknob fell off of the door the second I touched it so we could not close the bedroom door. The ceiling fan was a major hazard. It was not completely attached to the ceiling and screws were sticking out. Only half of the fan was secured to the ceiling. When turning the fan on, it began wobbling like crazy, it began to unscrew even more, and seemed to become even more detached. We had to rush to turn the fan off so that no one was injured. All of the window A/C units appeared to have mold growing on them. After all of this, I reached out to VRBO support including photos of the issues and they reached out to the host to ask him to compensate me. I didn't even receive as much as an apology message from the host. I was extremely dissatisfied and felt robbed of how much money I spent for that experience.
