Belle cabane de montagne sur l'Ă©tang dans les belles montagnes Smokey!

Willow est un 2 chambres 2 1/2 salle de bain avec cabane en rondins loft. Juste devant la porte d'entrée, il y a un étang. Cette cabine a tout à offrir dans une escapade à la montagne. Venez profiter des images et des sons pendant que les mouches à feu clignotent et que les grenouilles chantent pour vous la nuit. Profitez du ciel nocturne, les étoiles sont brillantes. Dans le calme de la matinée, surveillez les cerfs qui prennent un verre dans l'étang. C'est vraiment à couper le souffle et vous fait vraiment sentir une partie de la nature. Willow est caché mais aussi à proximité de nombreuses choses telles que la ville de Little Switzerland et le Little Switzerland Inn. Il y a un restaurant 5 étoiles à l'auberge appelée The Chalet. Un café, une librairie ainsi qu'un petit magasin général et un café dans la ville de Little Switzerland. Situé à seulement un mile de Willow. Grassy Creek Falls est un endroit idéal pour faire une randonnée et profiter des cascades situées à un mile de Willow. Ainsi que de nombreuses autres chutes d'eau juste à cÎté de la Blue Ridge Parkway. ,
Asheville, NC est une heure au sud. Boone, NC est une heure au nord. Il y a tellement de choses Ă  faire et Willow est situĂ© au centre de toutes ces choses. Aussi rester Ă  Willow vous fait vous sentir si dĂ©tendu. Tout ce que vous devrez apporter est de la nourriture et des objets personnels. Il y a un Walmart Ă  moins de 6 miles de Willow. Si vous voulez des vacances qui vous donnent l'impression de vous ĂȘtre vraiment Ă©vadĂ©, Willow est votre endroit oĂč sĂ©journer. We loved the cabin, family room and masterbedroom are huge and very inviting! We cooked several meals here and kitchen was fully furnished, not lacking anything! Though we did not need to use all the bedrooms everything was very clean! Location was lovely, with a small pond in front, that we enjoyed seeing several deer both early in the morning and early evening! Our host Marsha was very accommodating and quick to respond to all of our questions, both before we committed to our stay and while we were there! Would highly recommend and we look forward to staying there again!!

House was clean and everything we needed was there. We enjoyed outings around our location but also loved spending time at the house. Host responded quickly with any questions and gave us updates on road/driveway conditions as needed. Views are picture perfect!

Our family came from Wilmington NC to spend a few days in the mountains. This comfortable cabin provided a peaceful escape from summer heat and a happy gathering place. Cabin is furnished with everything they needed. The pond reflected the blue sky and beauty of the mountains during the day and provided a soundtrack of Nature at night.

Cabin in the Sky

We loved our mountain Cabin. Sitting by the pond and watching the wildlife and listening to the frogs and birds sing was wonderful! We saw Turkey hens and their babies comfortable enough to walk up to the cabin. We had a great time! The place was perfect for us!

We stayed here while we on a motor cycle weekend during the summer. It was a GREAT relief from the heat. The house is very cozy and charming. The pond is beyond beautiful. The owners live up the path and were very helpful and accommodating. I would stay there again if I am in the area.

Cozy Mountain Cabin truly exceeded all our expectations! Marsha is a wonderful host. The cabin is located one mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway in a location in close proximity to many activities including Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain, Emerald Village Gem Mine, and Mount Mitchell, as well as numerous great hikes. The cabin is also located in Little Switzerland, which is a quaint little village with great dining experiences. The cabin was very clean and the beds so comfortable! The kitchen is very nice! We absolutely enjoyed having coffee on the front porch to start and end our days while our teenager enjoyed kayaking around the little pond. We are so glad we found this cabin near the Blue Ridge and, if ever in this area, we will definitely stay again. We highly recommend this very clean and relaxing cabin.

Beautiful cabin!

My fiancé and myself had a wonderful weekend together in this beautiful cabin! The location is beautiful waking up to sit on the porch during the cool mornings with a hot cup of coffee over looking the pond and being able to watch the wildlife in the area! Plus its next to a nice little town with plenty to do in the area!!

Mountain Stay

Willow is a great place to rest after a long day exploring the numerous stops along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The location is conveniently located near the parkway without all of the traffic. Marsha was an excellent host, with great communication, willing to help with whatever we needed.

Cute Cabin

Cabin is as described with kitschy Native American decor. The kitchen had the basics needed to prepare meals. Be aware there is a regular coffee pot, so bring your coffee grounds. If you want to build a fire inside or outside, Walmart sells firewood in their Lawn and Garden section. If you are a light sleeper, be aware that the bedrooms are one over the other. You can hear whatever someone does upstairs, even when they roll over in bed, it creaks. This bothered me, but not my husband. I thought this was a secluded cabin for some reason. It does have houses around it. They're not on top of you, but you have one to the side and several behind the cabin. Also, if you are looking for peace and quiet, this cabin is right off a road that gets a good bit of traffic. No other real noise though. Just sharing since some people are looking for absolute quiet when looking for a place to stay. Marsha was very responsive and nice. Very easy to work with. The cabin is conveniently located to the BRP and Little Switzerland. There is also a Walmart close by in Spruce Pine if you need anything.

Nice cabin getaway with a few major issues

List of major issues: 1) This is the first place we've ever stayed that didn't have a hairdryer anywhere to be found. My wife was very upset because she couldn't fix her hair how she likes. 2) It is required to have a working smoke detector in every bedroom, one on each floor/hallway. Two of the three smoke detectors were missing/broken. Also, it is required to have a carbon monoxide detector on each floor(none present) and a fire extinguisher on each floor(only one on the main floor). Not having these safety features in a wooden cabin made us nervous. 3) The entrance to the lane leading to the cabin needs to be regraded. Our car scrapped the bottom coming in and out of the driveway. 4) The cabin is very dim, many light bulbs need to be replaced. 5) Ceiling fan in the lower bedroom hums and needs to be replaced. Anytime an electric device is humming means the motor is burning out and is a fire hazard. 6) There are various electric heaters in the house, some of which hum and/or motor squeaking and need replaced.

Lovely spot

Willow is just perfect for a getaway that's close to a lot. It's homey and quiet and the pond lends a sense of tranquility. If you are looking to escape, this is perfect! We loved it! Note that there is not a hair dryer even though the listing says there is.

Getaway in nature

Frog & Hummingbird Heaven!

This is my new favorite place to be. I felt at home in that there was everything we needed and intuitively put where you'd look for it. I love the decor and all the artsy accents. The first few hours there we saw so many hummingbirds and several deer and heard tons of frogs. I actually miss being here. The cabin is so secluded but a mile away is Little Switzerland with great places to eat a nice meal, a sweet treat or a cute souvenir. It rained a bit when we were there and yet it was wonderful sitting on the front porch. Check in was seamless and the directions were sent in a text which was key to get to the place. Internet was great surprisingly which enabled us to plan our day. Marcia is a great host and communication with her was effortless. I actually considered giving this place a terrible review so people won't know how great it is so it'd be available to us when we want/need to come back. But that would be selfish. We will be back, Marcia!
