This 15-acre forest retreat, situated on Littlefield Pond in Springvale, Maine, offers our guests an experience that feels like a trip up to the woods of northern Maine, but is closer to home and to all the attractions of southern Maine. Each of Littlefield Retreat’s vacation homes is unique, but all 5 offer our guests the seclusion of three wooded acres, a private hot tub, patio, and fire ring, as well as your own dock and canoe on Littlefield Pond.

The Shire, like all 5 of these vacation homes, is committed to beauty, comfort, and sustainability. For example, guests who drive an EV or plug-in hybrid can charge their vehicles at a Level 2 charger right on the property. Other eco-friendly elements are less visible but just as essential to the our vision: many recycled and reclaimed materials were used in the construction, and the energy that powers the ultra-efficient heating and hot water you enjoy comes from a dedicated solar farm off-site, making Littlefield Retreat’s five boutique tiny homes entirely carbon neutral.
