Welcome to The Rustic Ozarks Bungalow in Springfield, MO - the home of cashew chicken, Brad Pitt, and Bass Pro.

Centrally located, this home is close to Missouri State University/Drury, Mercy Hospital, Downtown SGF, and Bass Pro/Wonders of Wildlife! Decorated with the traveler in mind, enjoy large bedrooms, comfy furniture, board/yard games, living area with a fireplace & more!

Includes a garage for luggage drop off if needed and plenty of off street parking.

I am available whenever you need me! I prefer to communication through the Airbnb app.

Guests have access to the entire property.

Master bedroom is on the top floor of the home. You will need to climb a set of stairs to access. The other 2 bedrooms are on the main floor and do not require stairs. The 3rd bedroom is a 2nd living room/bedroom mix. There is a pull out couch in that room.

This is a renovated older home, so while it’s updated and comfortable, you may notice some signs of age or wear here and there. The neighborhood is lively and urban, so you may hear occasional street or neighbor noise. Missouri weather can bring heat, humidity, and the occasional bug, especially in summer—even with regular pest control. We provide fans, extra supplies, and do our best to keep the home comfortable year-round.

The host took her time replying. We were there at 4pm and I hadn’t received any check-in information - finally after calling and sending several messages she replied and said she sent the message at 8am which she did not! I looked back through all my emails and no message was sent to me at 8am. We finally got into the home at 4:15! When asked if we could request a late check out she replied it was booked and had to be cleaned which was a lie as I looked to book it for another night. The home was not clean! Dog hair was everywhere! Wall plug-in’s were broken and when you plugged your phone into one, sparks flew. Both bathroom sinks drained very slow - water finally would go down! The stainless in the kitchen looked as it hadn’t been cleaned in forever, it was smeared and dirty! To enter the house, the bush in front was hanging over the sidewalk - you had to walk in the grass or it would slap you in the face. To top it off, the fire alarm in the downstairs bedroom was gone and the wires hanging down! We opened the back door to go out and the handle fell off - we had to push it back in. The pot holders in the kitchen had not been washed and had dog hair all over them. The chairs outside in the back were horrible as the seats were completely ripped so not able to be used. These things were totally unacceptable and I can also go to social media if you would like me to! I also took photos for proof!!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The home was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The location couldn’t have been better—centrally located with easy access to everything we wanted to see and do. Check-in was smooth, and everything was exactly as described. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We decided to get this place to be closer to our children for Christmas. This was a very beautiful house with a great location and we truly enjoyed staying there. My one and only critique is that the listing said three bedrooms but we only had two bedrooms. Other than that, it was a fantastic stay and we do plan on staying again!

This cozy house made our trip!!!

Thank you, Ashley! The house is welcoming, warm, spotless and quirky in the best possible way! Love your sense of Ozark Lodge style and the comfortable touches that put us all at ease! My sister, brother and I (and our three dogs) made it our refuge for the difficult task of moving our dad into assisted living. It was a tough time--but the house brought us all together with its unique charm, thoughtful amenities (love those plush throws, high quality mattresses and washer/dryer!) and quiet neighborhood vibe. A wonderful place to "come home to" after several difficult days. Ashley was a wonderful, attentive host--immediately responding to our frazzled questions--and everything ultimately went smoothly with a comforting sense of both support and privacy. Will definitely be back--all together or individually! Such a difference from anonymous hotel rooms (both comfort-wise and budget wise)! Thank you, again, Ashley! 'Til the next time!!
