Villa Archidea is a beautifully renovated villa (2024) with a private swimming pool and spacious outdoor areas.

Located in Specchia, a charming village in the Salento countryside, rich in art and history, the villa offers the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway.

The villa comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests and provides a variety of amenities to ensure a memorable stay in the heart of southern Salento. Pets are welcome upon request.

Spanning approximately 4,000 sqm, the villa itself covers around 200 sqm. It is tastefully furnished and fully equipped with modern amenities, with special attention given to colors and design.

Villa Archidea features Wi-Fi, as well as a centralized heating and cooling system throughout the house. Additionally, the heated swimming pool and indoor fireplace provide extra comfort and enjoyment during the cooler months.


THE LOCATION

As mentioned, Villa Archidea is nestled in a quiet rural setting, away from the hustle and bustle, offering a beautiful view of the town. It is located near Provincial Road 76, which connects the towns of Specchia and Presicce.

The charming village of Specchia, known for its distinctive historical center with a medieval charm, has been included in the prestigious list of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

THE HOUSE

Villa Archidea is set on a plot of approximately 4,000 sqm and combines the comfort of a modern villa with a swimming pool, alongside the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the Salento countryside. This ideal blend offers the perfect setting for a rejuvenating holiday in close contact with nature, while enjoying all the comforts you need.

The entrance leads into a spacious and airy living area. The space is very bright, thanks to large glass doors that open onto the garden and swimming pool. It is divided into a dining area and a relaxation area, and includes:

- A kitchenette with a comfortable peninsula, fully equipped with an induction hob, coffee pod machine, dishwasher, electric oven, and microwave.
- A large, air-conditioned lounge featuring a large sofa and a 55" smart TV. The presence of a characteristic fireplace adds further warmth and hospitality to the room.
- A dining area with a beautiful olive wood table and chairs.

The sleeping area consists of three bedrooms: two double rooms and one with two single beds. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, heating, and a 43" smart TV.

The house includes two full bathrooms with a shower, one of which features a chromotherapy shower in the master bathroom, adding a touch of magic for enhanced relaxation.

Finally, the villa boasts a convenient laundry area equipped with a washing machine and dryer.

OUTDOOR AREA
While Villa Archidea offers large and comfortable indoor spaces, the outdoor area will likely be the most enjoyed part of the villa, especially during the summer months.

The large porch is well-organized and furnished with a large olive wood table, perfect for enjoying meals while overlooking the garden and swimming pool, sheltered from the sun. The built-in sofas and comfortable outdoor lounge provide a perfect space to relax outdoors.

The garden and pool area are a true oasis of relaxation, featuring 4 deckchairs and a spacious swimming pool (10 x 4 x 1.30). The pool has a shallow area, is saltwater, and includes a heating system to provide an even more enjoyable experience. (Heated pool available upon request, for an additional fee).

There is also a comfortable outdoor shower and a gas barbecue, ideal for organizing tasty barbecues with friends.

Finally, the villa has an external ramp to facilitate access for people with disabilities and a large, private, fenced car park within the property.

NEARBY

The heart of Specchia is the central square (Piazza del Popolo), situated at the highest point of the town and surrounded by several notable buildings:

- Risolo Castle, a 16th-century noble palace once owned by various aristocratic families, and currently owned by the Risolo family.
- The Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, built in baroque style, typical of most churches in Salento.
- The unique Palazzo Baronale Ripa, with its distinctive and evocative portico, which now serves as a meeting point for the young people of Specchia.

Among Specchia's many wonderful attractions, the ancient underground oil mills, dating back to the 16th–18th centuries, are also worth mentioning. These are rooms carved into the living rock where olives were once processed to produce what has always been a source of wealth and pride for the Salento region: extra virgin olive oil.

Finally, the Borgo Cardigliano, a "ghost" village expertly transformed into an eco-village, is also of considerable interest. It is energetically self-sufficient while perfectly integrated into the architecture and natural environment of the area.

One of the reasons to choose Specchia as your holiday destination is its strategic location. Situated halfway between the Ionian and Adriatic Seas, Specchia allows easy access by car to several interesting Salento locations, including:

-Santa Maria di Leuca (22 km away), the "heel of Italy," known for its charming 19th-century villas, scenic seafront, and the Santa Maria De Finibus Terrae Basilica Sanctuary.
-Marina di Pescoluse (16 km away), known as "The Maldives of Salento," with its golden, fine sandy beaches.
