Charmante maison digne de Cape Cod

Bel endroit tranquille. PrÚs de la mer, environ 10 minutes à pied. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le charriot de transport disponible à la maison pour se rendre à la mer.

Nice location

The area is very nice. Beaches/restaurants/mini golf/stores are few minutes driving to reach. Around 15-minutes walk to the beach. And a outdoor pool is nice to kid.

Great mid-Cape spot!

I enjoyed getting away from the city for a few weeks in Sandy's delightful property. Located in a quiet spot close to the ocean, this home was a lovely place to relax and unwind. The kitchen was well-outfitted for home cooking, and there are a lot of good restaurants in the surrounding area as well. The backyard deck was a nice spot to have breakfast in the warm sun. I was able to visit many of the scenic beaches nearby and enjoy the mid-Cape location. I highly recommend a stay!

Cleanliness and accuracy of listing

While the house is located in a nice little colony with a pool and a close walk to the beach, there are some things That we cannot overlook. We were very disappointed in many things about the house. It was falsely advertised as having a gas grill. Although there is a charcoal grill we specifically picked a place that would have a gas grill. Also where the charcoal grill is set up it is a bit of a fire hazard because of the overgrown shrubs and trees. There is a gas grill but it is currently unusable. In addition, the beach cart is broken, which is falsely advertised and hasn’t been used for some time it appears as there is a vine running through it. The kitchen light needs to be replaced and the cover which is already broken fell off. We had to move around some lamps as there is very little lighting in the cottage. It also appears the house wasn’t really cleaned properly as the outdoor garbage by the shower was filled to the brim and wasn’t taken out, the air conditioners are dusty and there are cob webs on the beds and bathrooms. There also appeared to be random garbage around such as a chicken nugget In a candle which my one year old was about to eat and other random garbage, such as crayons, a battery, pens, maps on the back deck and the front porch. The beach chairs were also extremely dirty so we were not able to use them and we were not able to properly clean them as the hose was broken. We wish the listing was more accurate with these issues and the pace was cleaner.

Nice cottage

The property was cute and Sandy has done a nice job of making the cottage have a beachy feel. Unfortunately, the cottage was not clean when we arrived, which kind of threw off our check-in. Sandy was very attentive, though, and took care of it immediately. Even once it was cleaned, though, it still did not feel very clean; the floors did not seem clean. The outdoor shower was great and the location was central. The loft was not useful for us- it was too hot, even with a fan and the window open. Overall, we enjoyed the cottage- the cleaning issues were not the owner's fault. If you have cleaning OCD, as I do, you may just want to do a little cleaning yourself!

Everything you could ask for!

The property was easy to find and in a great location. We were able to get around very easily and the beach was a quick walk. There's plenty of space considering it is a Cottage, the kids loved the loft and the outdoor space is beautiful. My family was overjoyed at the fact that there was a pool to use on non Beach days. The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the utensils and kitchen equipment that you could need. Sandy was very pleasant and easy to work with. There are several great restaurants close by and also mini golf which we always have to take part in! Overall it was a fantastic experience.

Quaint Cape Cottage

Sandy the owner was great to deal with, quick with responses and communicated everything we needed in a timely manner. The cottage is quaint and cozy, a very short car ride will take you to several nice beaches close by. The small Condo community is maintained but not overly manicured giving it a campy feel. The loft was great for our 2 boys but could get hot in the peak of summer. Fans kept it cool for sleeping at night. The queen bed was comfortable for my husband and I. The twin beds are fine for small kids, but the box springs were a little worn making it uncomfortable for our older girls. The kitchen is equipped with most everyday appliances. The grill, outdoor shower, large deck and dining table, small fire pit, beach cart and beach chairs, are a nice bonus. Plenty of room to roam on the grounds, our boys enjoyed riding their bikes and playing laser tag at night. We loved the facilities at Mayflower Beach, the Pirate Mini-Golf, and Tugboats in Hyannis for dinner.

Sandy (owner) was great to work with, answering all of my questions in a very timely manner. The cottage was clean & cozy; perfect for me, my husband, 12 & 10 yr old children. The pool was great & walk to beach was easy. A perfect location- tucked away in a quiet cul de sac of cute cottages, yet very convenient to Main St and many restaurants, activities & shops. We jad a fabulous time! The weather (week of Aug 20th) was perfect! Thank you, Sandy!! We'll recommend to friends and hopefully come back again.

Summer vacation on the Cape

We never have been to Cape Cod. Sandy was great to work with. Any question she responded quickly. The cottage is quaint and clean. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach. The walk is on easy. Sandy has beach chairs and a beach cart available which was extremely a plus since we flew. There is a lot to do on the Cape and is easily accessible from her location. We will certainly choose this place again if we return to the Cape.
